other than arkham series and injustice how does dc have marvel beat in the video game department??
bazinga85
bazinga85 - 9/5/2013, 9:41 AM
@sinsear
What does marvel have that's even close to the Arkham games? Ultimate Alliance is good, Spider-Man 2 is good, and the Marvel vs Capcom games are alright, but none of those come close to the Arkham games. Plus DC also has DCUO which is a good MMO.

@ sinsear912

Ummm just those games you listed have Marvel beat. Sorry but DC rules in comics, animation, video games, and live action t.v.. Now the live action t.v. could change with Agents of Shield, but DC is one step a head by pushing forward with a Flash series.

The only weak spot of DC, and I will admit it is the biggest is the live action movie. Marvel owns that and they will continue to own that for a long time.

this looks really cool for a mobile game. Is this Marvel vs. DC again? Jeevus. Marvel just has so many characters it seems tough to put all of their focus into just one game. X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I think, was the best Marvel title in years besides Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. That's about it. But Arkham City will always be champ. By a landslide. You've just gotta realize Marvel has so many characters, it might be tough to focus on just one like DC does with Batman.

Marvel could put out a decent Marvel game if they stopped making rush jobs for movies. THis looks like a Diablo style Thor game which is easy to do, so to [frick] that up somehow is beyond me.

At least, it looks and plays better than the MOS tie-in game.

And did someone say that DC has Marvel beat in comics? Ha! Is that why Marvel sells more than DC? In games, all DC has are the Arkham games. Take that away and DC doesn't have crap in the gaming department. Marvel has made good to great games with X-Men, Spider-Man, and with Ultimate Alliance. Heck, Deadpool was a good enough game. All DC has is Batman.

Making a good game is easier said then done.It take a good script, controls that are easy to understand, and worth a replay ever now and then.Plus it helps to have good villains which in most comic book characters cases are hard to come by.

Hopefully, they get the bugs fixed before actually putting the game out, unlike Iron Man 3 which was filled with bugs at first. I have the Iron Man 3 game from the same company on my Nook tablet. It was a good game, and I think the graphics are outstanding (maybe not as good as a console, but pretty amazing for a free game.) It has easy to use gyro controls and shooting controls (just touch or swipe), although I wish they had made it where you could control up & down movement as well as left/right movement.

But, at least with the original version (I just installed an upgraded version), it didn't take too long to get through the storyline, and then you're just doing the same thing over & over. And while it is free, if you want to upgrade your armor and build new, better armors (most of the armors from the movie seem to be available), you either have to play for literally months to build up credits within the game, or you can buy credits. I ultimately did, figuring it was about the same as buying a game. And the bad thing is that the new upgrade did not work at first and actually kept the game from opening, at least on my tablet. They are telling me I will have to uninstall and reinstall, which will make me lose all my armors, credits, how far I've advanced, etc. Supposedly they can restore that, but right now we're still working all that out (before I just flat-out demand a refund of the money I spent for stuff I no longer have access to.)

So, while the Thor game may be good, I would advise waiting awhile before installing it, so you're not one of the guinea pigs for all the bugs, unless they do better with this one.

Is it possible that "The Valkyries" and "Brunnhilde" are in fact in Thor:TDW?
Blastaar
Blastaar - 9/5/2013, 4:31 PM
Tyr is supposed to be in Thor:TDW, I wonder when Balder, Karnilla, The Enchantress and Skurge will show up. Balder HAS to be in Thor 3 as well as Hela.
