Lucky Luke and Asterix movies made in the same style could be great.

Looks spectalar, but am I the only one disturbed by "uncanny valley" feelings? The general setup is "hyper-realistic", yet the characters have got distorted faces (i.e. cartoon faces). I don't think you can mix the two without it looking a bit weird. It's been a general problem with many 3-d cartoons.

I have only ever read a few Tintin comics , so I can only claim a passing familiarity. I am somewhat mystified by the enduring popularity of this character .

Having said that , I must admit that this movie is starting to look good to me.

@AlexDeLarge87 -I have read much more Asterix than Tintin ( I've also seen a few 2d animated Asterix toons ). I would LOVE to see a 3D Asterix !!!

I had hoped this would have been live action but I've been really impressed with the animation. Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock is great voice casting. Astrerix and Blake & Mortimer.
