First Stills of Mirage and Wheeljack from Transformers: Dark of the Moon!

The two new characters from the upcoming third entry of the Transformers series have been clearly glimpsed in these new low resolution stills. Hit the jump to check them out!

The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Despite of the source naming, it's not safe enough to call them Mirage and Wheeljack respectively for now, since Nelson Lauren has announced that their identities are 'Dino' and 'Q' instead. Nevertheless, follow the link below to check them right on the site.



With the cast of Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson as well as the voices of Peter Cullen and Leonard Nimoy, Transformers: Dark of the Moon will land on theaters on June 29, later this year!

So who is who? If the first pic is Mirage, you can count me out. There is only so much a guy can take of Michael Bay's BS and this is it. Mirage is and has always been my favourite autobot(sometimes decepticon) but i don't like that design up there at all. I want the classic look:



If you can't deliver the character right don't include him. It's like X-men: First Class, they had a lot of characters sure but the looks and how they were was the same.

So I actually hope this is just some new Michael Bay creation called Dino!

Talk about late. Both of these images have been on the net for over two weeks. And To add to that Wheeljack screenshot is from the Second TF: DOTM trailer and Mirage is from a Tv spot Released two weeks ago.

In the film itself, They wont even be referred to as wheeljack or mirage. They're just minor characters that are probably not gonna speak and will be killed by either shockwave or soundwave or sentinel prime.

The first pic is Dino Whose pre production name was mirage. The second pic is of Que or Q whose pre production name was wheeljack.

Wawawawaaaa "I doesn't wook wike my childhoooodd memowiesssss!!" *blows nose* Who cares? Transformers has no continuity. Its story that follows what Hasbro wants to sell, so it's changed A LOT. If any thing the Bay movies are setting stuff in stone. You should appreciate that.

I would have loved to see Hound in this movie, but after seeing what they did to Wheeljack it's better they left him alone.

THE WAY I SEE IT, THIS IS BAY'S LAST TRANSFORMERS FLICK. JUST LIKE BATMAN HAD ITS MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTORS SO WILL TRANSFORMERS..



ITS A MONEY MAKER, PEOPLE WHO ARE FANS OR ARENT TOO FAMILIAR WITH THEM WILL WANT TO WATCH IT..AFTER THIS ONE( WHICH LOOKS LIKE IT'S GONNA BE WAY BETTER THAN THE LAST POO FEST), MAYBE WE'LL SEE SOMETHING EVEN MORE TRUE TO THE G1 SERIES.



I'M HOPING THEY HAVE FACES LIKE IN THE CARTOON AND THEY ARENT SO COMPLICATED TRANSFORMING, HECK IT WAS COOL WHEN YOU GOT THE TOY AND EASILY TRANSFORMED IT, IT WAS FUN...NOW YOU HAVE TO HAVE A WHOLE FRIG'N BLUE PRINT TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THE DARN THINGS.

"WTF IS UP WITH THESE WOOCHIP PILE FACES?"

..MEGATRON'S LOOK OF DISAPPROVAL...

MAYBE THE NEXT ONE CAN HAVE THEM ACTUALLY HAVE THE TRANSFORMING SOUND TOO.

Every version of Transformers over the last twenty five plus years has represented them differently. The only character that hasn't varied too much has been Prime. For better or for worse this will always be the case so that Hasbro/Takara Tomy can sell new toys. The next reboot will be different just the same and most of you guys that can't see past 1985 are gonna be pissed off yet again!
