Adult Swim has released an awesome new live-action promo for this Sunday's season finale of Rick & Morty featuring a long-overdue surprise, as we finally get to see Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd suit up as the titular Rick Sanchez with Knives Out's Jaeden Martell co-starring as his Morty Smith.
The plot of the upcoming two-part finale has been kept firmly under wraps, but the teaser does label the pair as the Rick and Morty of C-132, so it's fair to wonder whether they could actually show up at some point in either of the two episodes.
Episode nine is titled "Forgetting Sarick Mortshall," and its synopsis reads, "Rick gets new sidekicks, while Morty makes a new friend.," while episode ten is titled "Rickmurai Jack," with a synopsis that promises quite an eventful hour as "Rick is living his best anime life, making new friends and taking down new enemies."

Plus, we also have the first episode's cold open, which sees Morty go on his own adventure. Everything seems to go pretty well too until he gets home...
As for what happens next, Spencer Grammer, who voices Summer Smith, recently revealed to Inverse that there probably won't be a huge break between Sunday's finale and Season 6.
"I keep saying, there's gonna be so many more episodes. They're writing season 6 already and are probably going to start writing season 7 soon. It's nice to be on a real schedule that people can see every year, hopefully, but who knows, it could be two years! I don't want to give anybody high hopes, but I don't know that it'll be three years again."
