MOMMA NAMED ME SHERIFF Interview: MR PICKLES Creator Talks Up The Show Ahead Of Tonight's Episode

Adult Swim's Mr. Pickles was so successful that when it ended it immediately spawned the spin-off series Momma Named Me Sheriff. With Season 2 at hand, creator Will Carsola spoke with us about the series!

Will Carsola (Funny or Die Presents) is best known for creating the Mr. Pickles series on Adult Swim. The show was such a hit, that as soon as it came to a close, a spin-off series was already announced in the form of Momma Named Me Sheriff.

Adult Swim is known for trolling their fans so much that it's become expected at this point. After Too Many Cooks, nearly every April Fools Day has featured something interesting to catch adult animation Cartoon Network fans off guard. In the same fashion, when Mr. Pickles Season 3 rolled around, it was simply a disguise for the launch of Momma Named Me Sheriff.

Since then, the spinoff show has quickly garnered attention, with the second season of Momma Named Me Sheriff premiering this month. To help promote the new series, Adult Swim asked us to sit down with creator Will Carsola to talk about the show, and we learned about the transition from Mr. Pickles to Momma Named Me Sheriff.

Take a look at the trailer and synopsis for Momma Named Me Sheriff below. We've included our full interview with Carsola at the bottom as well, so be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual spot!

When havoc breaks loose in Old Town, Sheriff, Deputy Goodman and Dispatch must work together to solve cases and uncover unthinkable mysteries. Aside from the usual charmingly disturbing hijinks, this season you'll finally learn the meaning behind "roostering." Plus Goodman gets lost in the desert, Dispatch uncovers a secret conspiracy in Old Town, and some dragons take over. That last part isn't true. Just kidding, it is. Just kidding, it's not. Just kidding, it's partially true. No, it's not. Maybe? Just watch it.

Hear our full chat with Mr. Pickles and Momma Named Me Sheriff creator Will Carsola below. Tune in to Season 2 of the series with new episodes on Adult Swim every Sunday at midnight.
