THE BOYS PRESENTS: DIABOLICAL Trailer Reveals Premiere Date And Simon Pegg As Hughie Campbell

Prime Video has shared the first delightfully unhinged trailer and poster for The Boys Presents: Diabolical, the upcoming eight-episode animated anthology series set in the same world as the hit show. It's also been announced that each instalment will premiere on March 4, the same day The Batman arrives in theaters (meaning we're going to be spoiled for choice that weekend).

The episodes will clock in between 12 - 14 minutes, featuring their own animation style and revealing unseen stories within The Boys Universe, dreamt up by some of the most creative and bloody brilliant minds in entertainment today. Among those lending their talents to Diabolical are Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, Justin Roiland, Andy Samberg, Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, and Giancarlo Volpe.

Several new additions have been made to the already star-studded cast, but among the most exciting is Simon Pegg. The actor has already played Hughie Campbell's father in The Boys, but was once a fan-favourite choice to play Hughie in a live-action adaptation. Unfortunately, he'd aged out by the time the current series rolled around , but will now get the chance to lend his voice to the character in Diabolical.

The episodes will include an homage to the original The Boys comics, an anime-inspired effort, and a story influenced by Korean drama and horror, among others. Needless to say, we're intrigued.

Take a look at the new trailer and poster for The Boys Presents: Diabolical below:

This looks good. I thought we were getting that horrible animation from the teaser a few moths ago so this is refreshing

I mean, doesn't the look of Hughie and Billy confirm this isn't in the same universe as the show?
