We knew Frank Darabont, the director/producer for AMC's The Walking Dead wouldn't be sticking around after the pilot episode. Darabont is still going to oversee production of the series and says he will return eventually to the director's chair, but in the meantime AMC has found another director to take over and it's good news.

Michelle Maxwell MacLaren is going to take the reigns. She's best known for directing a few episodes of another well known and amazing AMC show - Breaking Bad. She was also producer on The X Files.

I love this news - if you haven't seen Breaking Bad - do it now. It's one of the best shows on the tube right now and shows lot's of promise that the AMC network knows how to crank out mature TV and still entertain the poop right out of us.
