Deleted Scene From Season 2 Of THE WALKING DEAD

During the Season 2 trailer, we saw several shots that were never shown, such as Shane running with a bag of guns. Ever wonder what happened to the Vatos nursing home? Well, this clip from The Walking Dead Blu-Ray set has the answer. Check it out.

The Season 2 premiere was originally going to open differently, with Shane abandoned after the explosion of the CDC and having to out run a horde of zombies. The survivors would pick up Shane in the RV and try to seek shelter. Before the highway and before the farm, they visited the Vatos nursing home. The upcoming Season 2 Blu-Ray box set will include this, as well as other deleted scenes, which you can see glimpses of in the original Season 2 trailer.

EW was able to get their hands on a deleted clip from the season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead, which aired last fall. The following clip shows the group trying to find shelter in the Vatos nursing home.

The Walking Dead returns to television on October 14th, 2012.

An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV.

Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying world. He was a small town cop who had only fired his weapon a couple times but never at anyone and had only ever seen one dead body. Separated from his family, he must sort through the death and horror to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, people are forced to finally begin living.

But this does make sense.

With so many elderly people, it was only a matter of time before someone died of old age and then you have an immediate zombie outbreak on your hands.

That was sick, really like that scene, really tense, great zombie standoff/shootep the frig up. Bring on season 3 baby. Bring on the governor, michonne, the prison and all the fcked up stuff the one of the best story arcs from the comics that I have will never forget and still stands out in my mind the most out off the entire 100 some issues that are now out. People wo never read the comics are in for quite some ride the this season stay pretty true to made to suffer story arc.

TheWallCrawlingMenace: This would have been the missing day, after S1 and before the S2 premiere monologue. An entire episode (the original S2 opener) was scrapped.
