Director Edgar Wright is known for teaming up with actos Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, such as on the cult favorite TV show
Spaced.
Collider recently caught up with fanboy favorite Edgar Wright at SXSW film festival. When asked if he would be returning to TV any time soon, he revealed some new info about how he was offered the directors chair for an episode of the second season of
The Walking Dead and why he declined:
"Frank [Daramont] asked me to do a Walking Dead, actually. But I feel that there’s some subject matter that, like, even though it’d be great– and I love that show: I actually watched four of the six episodes uninterrupted in one run; it was like zombie Pringles– I think that with something like that, with some TV shows, you wanna be in on the ground floor... I really enjoyed the first season, and I wouldn’t wanna be the guy that comes in and [frick]s it up."
Season Two of
The Walking Dead will hit this fall on AMC.
