During The Walking Dead Panel at Image Comic Expo's on February 25, Robert Kirkman said that among the new stuff coming up in the comic books is the so much expected addition of the character Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, from the tv series. Daryl became a fan favorite in the show and is well known for using a crossbow. And apparently, Reedus has been begging for Kirman to introduce his character in the comics, which could happen in the upcoming 'Something To Fear' arc.

"I've definitely considered writing Daryl in to the comics," said Kirkman. "Norman is always pestering me about it. All I can say right now is that if you have been paying attention to the Internet we did just release a series of teasers called 'Something to Fear' for a new story arc that's coming up and it's a series of very threatening looking people with very specific weapons and one of them has a crossbow."

See the teaser Kirkman mentioned below, which is yet another clue that Daryl debut could be on the upcoming arc:

He's a pretty good character in the show, so I wouldn't mind if he's added to the group. As long as it makes sense and doesn't feel completely forced, I'll be happy.

Stopped reading around issue #80. Comic has gotten way too repetitive.

He's a character that you can build a nice long arc on, or become zombie fodder at the end of this next one. I don't care either way. And anyone who believes that TWD is repetitive has a lack of true imagination.

It's ok I guess. He's like the anti-hero of the group in the tv show.

I didn't notice it, but that's unfortunatly Dwight we see there and not Daryl Dixon. Though Dwight could be a nickname or something for what I know.
