In a new interview, Lauren Cohan (Maggie) gives fans an idea of what to expect from this Sunday's season 7 finale of The Walking Dead. We also have some lovely photos from her shoot with Bazaar.

This Sunday's season 7 finale of The Walking Dead is obviously shaping up to be an eventful one for Rick and the other Alexandrians, but it also looks like Maggie is going to have her own problems to deal with at The Hilltop, as the slimy Gregory continues to consider her presence there a threat to his leadership.

Following Glenn's brutal death in the season premiere, most fans assume that Maggie is now safe (at least until she has that baby!), but it's best not to take anything for granted with this show.

During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, actress Lauren Cohan declines to go into too much detail regarding her character's longevity, but she does describe the upcoming finale as "incredibly bittersweet, beautiful, and heartbreaking."

This season's episodes move so slow, they can be described in one sentence; Eugene joins the Saviors. Next week, the Kindom considers fighting against the Saviors.

@SuperCat - Unforuntaly they seem to be rotting, meaning they are all dying down. So all humans have to do is waid them out.

My ideas for zombies afterward would be

1. smiling(revealed jawed) maniac smiling zombies called grinners. Pack hunters part of the worlds immune system, highly intelligant creatures who are super strong.

2. Vr zombies. Zombies who think the survivors are zombies because the vr devices have latched onto there brains. (but who are the zombies?)

3. also nanite robo zombies, similer to 2. but are controlled by an artificial intelligence.

4. some sort of bug like virus, causing people to become monstrosities

Show is about the balance between morality and survival, and the price of survival. And that the more you fight to survive, the more you have to fight to stay human. It's pretty much a character study of what lengths a man on death row will go to. Rick summed the whole show up ages back; 'we are the walking dead'. The zombies have always just been an excuse to explore real, interesting questions. It could have just as easily been about nukes wiping out the majority of humanity and the show wouldn't be much different. It's never been about the zombies. If you find yourself watching each week thinking it needs more zombies, no wonder you're bored. Show's not for you.

That said, this season has been too predictable. The characters aren't making any suprising decisions, and it feels very choreographed, like they chose three plot points for the season then filled the gaps between them with filler thay would get them to those plot points. Which might be alright if they weren't painfully obvious plot points and we didn't all guess what they were beforehand

No good spending eight episodes uniting allies if you begin by saying 'we're going to unite some allies', spend the middle uniting allies as planned without incident, then end by saying 'we've united some allies'. Basic storytelling requires orientation, complication, resolution.
