Which Cast Member Of The Walking Dead Asked To Leave With Frank Darabont?

When series creator Frank Darabont was ousted by AMC, the negative backlash didn't come from only the fans. It turns out that a member of the cast asked to leave the show and despite changing their mind, they may still get their initial wish.

Thought that the only drama on The Walking Dead set was in front of the camera? Think again. It turns out that there's plenty behind the camera too. There were previously reports of behind-the-scenes friction when Frank Darabont was ousted by AMC, but TV Line now report that a member of the cast was so upset by the way in which the series creator was treated, they asked to be released from their contract. Who was it? That they don't reveal.

Eventually, this request was granted by the network but there's a slight twist in the tale. It seems that same cast member changed their mind and now wishes to stay on as a part of the ensemble. However, it may be too late as there's talk from one insider that they may ultimately get their wish and be written out of the show. How this will affect the show and in which direction this will result in The Walking Dead differing from the Robert Kirkman penned comic book series is unknown.

They don't want to spoil a character's death.

Most likely Dale. The actor that plays him is cast in everything Frank Darabont does, and I could see him being really pissed about it.

It could be Laurie Holden, too. She was in both THE MAJESTIC and THE MIST under Darabont's direction.

Come to think of it, what's the point of the whole season if nothing happens, six episodes in?

I would say I care, but I don't.I watched the first episode of season 2 and realized that it wouldn't add up to the first season. IMO The best show on AMC for a while has been Breaking Bad.

Arminies- Yeah but for some reason it drags a bit more on tv, i find. The first season wasn't as bad in that department. Then again, it's definitely not the worst show on tv either.

This is easy!! It was Jeffery DeMunn who plays Dale Horvath. He has been in EVERY Frank Darabont movie to date! If you were in every one of Frank's movies wouldn't you threaten to walk if he did as well?

Dale can be so damn annoying at times with that" Dramtic Looking Gopher" look. I don't really give a rats ass about who leaves, as long as Reedus continues playing Daryl...

Dale has big eyes and that's creepy, T-Dog can't grow facial hair on his cheeks very well, Shane shaved his head and has a scar on it, so any of them can go.

This show has the best intro song ever. Its both creepy and catchy. I actually had a dream the other day where Ken Jeung (Chang from Community, Chow from The Hangover) was playing Glen. It was literally the highlight of my day. Funny shit...

if its dale thats a easy fix....kill him off and make andrea and shane the "couple" that the comics had...already seems thats where there going...so just let dale die now and save us all the "theres no viagra in the post apocoliptic" story line the comics ran....

I dont think Frank Darabont was ousted, I thought he walked, that he wanted out. Who cares if he leaves, "series creator" my ass. I hat when someone takes an idea from a book or a cartoon and they get creative rights or title. YOu didn't create shit. As long as kirkman is still around, then I am cool.

Dale can leave the show imo if he wants to, he doesn't contribute much except bitching to andrea that she cant do anything. I hope it isn't andrea because in the comics she becomes a pretty cool character and the team sharpshooter, they are starting to develope her character in the show now.

I dont get why so many people are down on this show, it is a little slow, but they are in a safe area right now and its been building up to shit hitting the fan which is going to happen in the next episode it looks like. Next season is going to be sweet, it will be the prison and MIchone will be introduced, now that is a bad ass chick.

I hope it's not Dale.
I really want to see Fear the Hunters come to life, that's easily one of the best arcs in TWD.

My first guess would be dale. I really hope he lasts as long as he did in the books though.

This show has strayed from the path of zombies and into the line of bullspit! Barely anything and I swear the network just says, "lets keep a zombie or two in it for the ratings"

If it is Dale, I hope he gets written out like in the comic, that was a great exit. Dale gets bitten, doesn't tell anyone and goes off to die alone. He then gets captured by a bunch of redneck cannibals, who think they are so bad until Dale starts laughing at them and crowing that they have been eating "tainted meat". They let him go and he tells the others. The bad guys still think they are a force to be reckoned with when Rick comes to see them alone, unaware he has sniper extraordinaire Andrea watching over him and the rest of the group hidden nearby. They become rather less cocky when they realise this and they start being killed, and Rick is so enraged by what they have done to Dale and tried to do to them that he and the group capture and dismember them alive, one by one. It gets seriously dark there for a while.

I hope it is Laura Holden because I can't stand her character on the show. I am banking on her getting killed off. This show will go down the crapper without Darabout.
