So, the "secret" is out and now, both Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) know that Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is indeed pregnant and while Felicity is hopeful of a bright future with Oliver, based on the flashforwards from this season, it doesn't look like their daughter Mia (Katherine McNamara) will exactly grow up in a happy household.

Meanwhile, next week's episode will see Oliver and the rest of Team Arrow partner with the Star City Police Department, which goes about as well as you'd expect. Plus, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) also gets some potentially life-altering news.

"Training Day" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

TEAM ARROW ATTEMPTS TO WORK WITH SCPD - Team Arrow attempts to work with the Star City Police Department but much to Oliver's (Stephen Amell) frustration, things don't go as planned. Meanwhile, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) gets some life-changing news. Ruba Nadda directed the episode written by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Rebecca Rosenberg (#715). Original airdate 3/11/2019.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle, computer-science expert Felicity Smoak, former protégé Roy Harper, brilliant inventor Curtis Holt, street-savvy Rene Ramirez and meta-human Dinah Drake. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, forcing him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.

Arrow features:
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow

Pretty good episode last night: the first 3/4 or so were just 'good' but man, the last 10 or so minutes were crazy!! Another great Oliver episode. Some really nice fight scenes too. Great character moments, especially between Oliver and Emiko, Oliver and Felicity, etc. Felicity overcoming her fear was good too, and like how she incorporated that into her unborn child; also like how she told Oliver she was pregnant.

But lets talk about the biggest things. First off, Dante was great. After all the build up going into this character's reveal, he certainly made a great impression; the wait was worth it! Badass, suave, deadly. His fight scene with Oliver was great, he really knows how to use a blade! And he is so ruthless, kills the princess just cause, lol. Looking forward to more of him.

Emiko- wtf! She's working with Dante!?! He said come home to her, is Emiko faking her relationship to Oliver? Now we know where Emiko got her training from. All this time thinking Emiko was good!

Diaz- holy smokes, that ending scene with him was brutal and unexpected. And its pretty symbolic too: Diaz used fire to burn his childhood bully and become the Dragon, and yet in the end it was fire that killed the Dragon. Really great parallel right there.

There were some other key pieces of info dropped that raise more questions. First, Connor was adopted by Diggle, wonder if something happens to Diggle's original son? Is Oliver dead in the future? Why does William never receive Oliver's phone calls, when we see Oliver trying to contact him? Questions and more questions!

It was a good episode and the most solid one so far since Emerald Archer. Wished we had gotten more scenes between Oliver and Emiko bonding but I liked the scene where he was analyzing her arrows, couldn’t keep his own curiosity to himself. Liked how Rene adviced him to just be her brother.

Felicity came across again as too obsessive with how casually she was planning on liking Diaz if E2 Laurel was able to see from the star just how not only messed up it looked like but also tell there would be consequences and it shows a whole lot more growth from her. Funny how she was also the first one to tell her pregnancy.

Luckily she turned Diaz in to ARGUS so unless she feels “cheated” once the word gets out that he was murdered and now wants to kill Dante in his place it should be fine.

I am pretty sure that I heard that Connor Hawke said that Diggle was his “adoptive” father? Is he unaware he was indeed his dad or did Diggle made it look like he adopted him? That was oddd and I hope it is cleared up soon.

Wonder where they will get the mini cassette to hear the message that was left in the future.

Adrian Paul, the actor for Dante, made a solid debut. He had a very normal and underwhelming entrance but once he was told it was a setup he defied all expectations with how quickly he slashed his victims, he was so fast and that little fight with Oliver was badass, he hardly sweated. “Don’t miss” was a perfect line specially how his signature weapons are such tiny knives and how good he is with them.

In the comics Emiko did had a connection to the Ninth Circle so Dante being linked to her here makes sense following the lore of the comics, that’s what I am talking about compared to the ending of the previous episode. Pretty sure he wasn’t just her mentor but also gave her all of her stuff to operate as the new GA. A girl from the Glades couldn’t just get all of the things she has in one year and be this ready.

RIP Diaz, what a brutal way to go but also an eye-for-an-eye death since he killed his childhood bully in the same way in the last Season. Another mystery now is to see who did it. If he survived that (which would be the 2nd far fetched survival after Oliver made it when he was defeated by Ra's) then it can only be for the narrative tool of how the Ninth Circle burns their followers to have their loyalty to them.

All in all a good episode and can’t wait to see more of Dante, he’s the villain we should’ve have a long time ago after Adrian Chase.

I said "Holy sh.t" when I saw that the freakin Highlander himself Adrian
Paul, has joined the cast of Arrow. This is who CW should have cast as RAs
Al Ghul. What a great surprise for a 90's genre fan.

@WarnerBrother - Will they be adding his cousin to the cast of Arrow?

Or what about the Kurgan?

Although he was already on The Flash

@tugboy -
Christopher Lambert was just on NBCs The Blacklist playing a
master assassin similar to Dante.

Funny I almost named my son Duncan after Adrian Paul's Highlander character in the late 90's.I was that much a
fan of the show. I named him Dante instead. No joke.

@WarnerBrother - Better choice. "Duncan McCloud of the clan McCloud" is kind of a long name.

I get why Diaz said that you didn’t know who they were dealing with and how they wanted the mercy of a quick death considering how he (?) sent Diaz to die with the lighter. Dante is no holding back.
tugboy

@NinnesMBC - We don't know that it is Dante. It could be Laurel or Felicity.

@tugboy - I liked how Diaz quickly grasped the lighter, thinking he could prevent his fate. Even up until the end, Diaz always acted like he was one step ahead.
