In the penultimate chapter of Crisis on Infinite Earths, The Spectre (a.k.a. Oliver Queen) battled the Anti-Monitor and used his powers to create both Earth-Prime and a new Mutliverse.

Now, Crisis showrunner Marc Guggenheim has shared some Zoic Studios concept art offering a new look at the Green Arrow's final act of heroism before he once again made the ultimate sacrifice. As you can see, Oliver is shown unleashing his newfound powers to save the Arrowverse, but one big interesting change here is that the vigilante is wearing his Green Arrow costume.

It's possible that he wasn't always meant to become The Spectre, as you have to imagine this crossover event went through some big changes as all the pieces started falling into place.

Stephen Amell has previously expressed disappointment with the way his first death in this shared world, so hopefully, he was happier knowing that the character he played for all those years ultimately saved the entire Multiverse and helped create a whole new status quo for the Arrowverse.

What do you guys think of this Crisis on Infinite Earths concept art?

Saw that concept art earlier and it has got to be the best concept art done so far in the crossovers. Desktop cover worthy.

I wished they shared these key moments of concept art more often.

As a big fan of Crisis on Infinite Earths, I'm profoundly disappointed by this shitty adaptation. I firmly believe that the "CW treatment" is detrimental to DC's concepts and intellectual properties.

@johnnymarr - Well maybe DC/WB will make the movie......

@Matador - I'd love to see COIE on the big screen, but, judging by the instability of the cinematic DCU, I don't think it will happen before a decade (thinking optimistically about the future of the cinematic DCU).

A faithful animated adaptation is a more realistic possibility.

The CW version of COIE is a modified and extremely simplified/smaller version of its comics counterpart. The CW adaptation may work for people who are unfamiliar with the original comic book event, but if you've already read "Crisis on Infinite Earths", disappointment is inevitable.

@johnnymarr - I had all of the original Crisis comics, but maybe I know very well not to be foolish and expect unreasonable things with adaptations such as this.

@rkshuttleworth - If you aren't capable of adapting your characters and concepts with an acceptable level of competence, just leave the intellectual properties alone. After successive costly failures, one can imagine that WB/DC/CW should have learned by now.
