Plenty Of New Footage In Featurette For This Week's ARROW; "This Is Your Sword"

EP Marc Guggenheim takes us behind the scenes of the penultimate episode of Arrow in this new featurette, and there's plenty of brand new footage from "This Is You Sword" as Al Sah-him finds a wife, and an epic battle takes place between Team Arrow and the League of Assassins!

"This Is Your Sword" - Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s (guest star Matt Nable) threatens Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea (Willa Holland) goes to see Roy (Colton Haynes). Wendey Stanzler directed the episode with story by Erik Oleson and teleplay by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.

It would've been better if Ollie chose to be Ra's, rather than being strong armed then brainwashed. Everyone's just waiting for him to get back to his senses. I would've rather seen him choose to not be Ra's at the end for an actual reason. Still a great show.

Wildcat in Arrow was an embarassment to the entire Wildcat mythos. He is considered to be one of the top ten fighters in the DC universe and gets pussy whipped by Brick, a D list villain in one bitchslap.

I didn't get that scene at all last week. As soon as she started to train with Nyssa, she held her own(kinda) against a LoA member in "Public Enemy" but then gets duped by a street thug last week and then fights two LoA members in the same episode and is seen in this trailer fighting off LoA members too.

At least make her kick that thug's ass last week because of her training with Nyssa.

Does anyone really care that Oliver is in the League of Assassins now? Just get your ass back to Starling and wear that green hood again!

And yeah Amell is lucky its the CW. If it were any other network, he'd be a guest appearance at best with that kind of acting

Do you guys think that Deadshot and the other characters related to the Suicide Squad movie (Waller, Deathstroke, Captain Boomerang, Katana) are/will be off the table for the CW in the future? I mean Deadshot is probably dead, we haven't seen Cpt. Boomerang since that one episode.. but the others?

Well SS surprised everyone with the reveal of Katana, who's still on Arrow so I don't think so.
To be honest, The CW doesn't get nearly the large scale viewers that could justify connected the movie universe or neglecting characters from the TV because they're on film.

Let's not forget Laurel has had training from Wildcat and Nyssa throughout all of season 3 so far. Also we know she had self defense training prior to the beginning of the series. Not saying she should be a complete badass in a fight, but let's stop pretending now that she is the same girl who got her ass handed to her in her first outing as a vigilante. Oh yeah and let's not forget she has Cisco Canary scream collar now.

Oliver is just carefully calculating everything so that he can turn on the league at the end of the season. After all, the season finale is titled "My name is Oliver Queen."

Laurel's been training (off-screen) with Nyssa for quite a while now. Doesn't make her a skilled combatant but geez... giv the girl a break. Nobody complains when diggle holds his own against the league. His military training in no way trumps league training.
What i want to kmw is why the hell in blue blazes is Felicity in a scene where it's surroumded by fighters and killers. She actually found a way to bullshit Team Arrow into taking her along?!

That's true. Yet WB/DC didn't allow them to use Blue Beetle because they had "other plans", and that is why we got Palmer. Furthermore Deadshot's death seemed untimely and unnecessary, also Waller has been removed from ARGUS while Boomerang was sent to the ARUGS prison to sit next to Deathstroke. They all seem to be written off to me, but maybe I read too much into this :D I guess we'll see.
