The New Recruits Are On Their Own In ARROW Season 5, Episode 4 Description; "Penance"

When Green Arrow heads off on a secret mission for Diggle, his new team of recruits are going to be left to protect Star City all on their own, but will they be able to step up and save the day? That remains to be seen, but it sounds like we'll find out one way or another when this instalment of Arrow airs.

This one goes out on October 26th and is titled "Penance." After Arrow returned with surprisingly low ratings, it's essential that it maintains the quality of the premiere if there's any hope of those numbers saying steady. Will fans who gave up on the show after the death of Black Canary return though?

OLIVER STEPS IN FOR DIGGLE — Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) team up on a secret mission for Diggle (David Ramsey). Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) finds out and disapproves of the plan and opts to stay behind. When Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman) launches a deadly assault against the city, Felicity must decide if she wants to send the recruits out sans the Green Arrow. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Brian Ford Sullivan & Oscar Balderrama.

How is Tobias Church any different from the other gangsters who've tried to take over the city before?

Fans were checking out long before Black Canary death. No cared she died. Majority of people were happy as hell cause she was horrible. Fans were pissed when Sarah died and didnt come back to the ahow and S4 was not great. Lack of Laurel improved the ahiw tremendously.

Hey Dudes-

I know I'm a little late to comment on Arrow this week- but I'm going to do it anyway:

Like many of you, I felt Arrow started to get pretty bad about half-way through the second season. The first season was awesome- I loved that he killed the bad guys (something different than Batman), and that in his personal life, he had to be a jerk to the people he cared about to protect them. Those were a couple of things that really made Arrow unique. Since the second half of season 2, however, they have been trying to make Arrow more like Batman, and even worse by adding a team. Arrow doesn't need a team! It was really getting old that every person Oliver knew was turning into a superhero (I mean even Thea? Really?).

But the first episode of season 5 was brilliant. He's back to killing the bad guys, fighting alone; not to mention him shooting an arrow to swing from the helicopter like Spiderman, and subsequently firing an arrow to fly through the air from a parachute (amazing!).

All-in-all: First episode of season 5 may be the best start to a season since season 2. Let's hope they can keep it up.
