Yesterday, the Television Academy announced the list of nominations for the 67th annual Emmy Awards, and fans of the various comic book based TV shows that have graced our screens over the past year will be very happy!

The two shows leading the charge are Daredevil and, perhaps surprisingly, Gotham. Whilst many were not fans of the show or its approach to this universe, the Bat-prequel series is up for 4 Emmy Awards- Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More), Outstanding Costumes For A Contemporary Series, Limited Series or Movie, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series and Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role.

Marvel's Daredevil recieved 3 nominations- Oustanding Main Title Design, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series and Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role. Marvel's Agents of Shield was also nominated for Oustanding Special Visual Effects. DC also got a look in, with The Flash being nominated for Outstanding Special Visual Effects and Constantine up for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary or Fantasy Program. The 67th Emmy Awards will air on Fox on September 20th.

No acting nod for Matthew Cox? Shame.

I know the competition is far greater outside of CBTV, but I'd rather Daredevil not be nominated at all ([frick] effects) if there are no acting nominations. Looks pointless whether it's the Emmys or not.

@iZinDiaN

If any Comic book show has a chance, that's Flash. Game of Thrones will win probably though.

I'm not really shocked Daredevil didn't get an acting nod because that category is absolutely stacked, but the fact that they didn't get nominated for cinematography or stunt coordination is insane. Heck the second episode would have made a compelling case for both.

Why is it "surprising" that Gotham leads the charge? One of these days, you guys are gonna have to acknowledge that Gotham is one of the best shows on TV.

But, the real news here, is Constantine getting nominated. Mot only must this stick in the craw of NBC, but it's gotta serve as incentive for WB to resurrect the show, or at least the character in some capacity.

Gotham... Pfft!
Hurry up & cancel this show so we can get Batgirl & Poisin Ivy on Arrow (potential Birds of Prey spin off)
