First Look At GOTHAM's 'Arkham Asylum'
We knew that the iconic location would play a role in season one of Gotham, but now a New York hospital has been transformed into Arkham Asylum, the place you have to imagine that many of Batman's future villains will be spending some time during the course of the series.
Thanks to Batman-News (who have a few more photos which you can see by clicking the link below), we have a first look at Gotham's Arkham Asylum. One of their readers sent in some shots of the transformed Bayley Seton Hospital in Staten Island, New York, and the iconic location from the comic book will apparently be introduced in episode four as that's what they were filming when these were taken. Will we also see the introuction of Hugo Strange in this instalment - called "Lavender" - of the new series? Bruno Heller was recently quoted as saying, "Hugo Strange is going to pop up because we're going to start dealing with how Arkham was created and why Arkham was created in the way that it was so, yeah, absolutely. It's a Season One thing because in our telling of it the way Arkham was created and the why and how is one of the causes of the particular criminal climate in Gotham that allowed Batman to happen. The revolving door of Arkham is both a brilliant narrative device because it allows you to -- you don't have to kill people off, you can just put them in cold storage" What do you guys think?
