GOTHAM: Here's A First Look At Shane West Suited Up As Bane In Season 5 Of The BATMAN Prequel
We've known for a while now that Batman villain Bane will be making an appearance in Gotham and now a new set photo shared by one of the show's producers finally reveals what this version will look like...
A huge number of Batman villains have appeared in Gotham over the past four years but the show's fifth and final season will be introducing even more characters from the comic books...with a twist. Bane will be among them and like so many bad guys before him, it doesn't appear as if the Fox TV series is going to necessarily stick to the source material in terms of his appearance.
As you can see below, this take on Bane (who appeared in both Batman and Robin and The Dark Knight Rises) has a pretty different look to what we were expecting; Clearly inspired by the version played by Tom Hardy, this Bane doesn't really look like any of the iterations seen in the comic books over the years but there could be a very good reason for that.
For starters, there's the fact Gotham only has a TV budget but if this is a "proto-Bane" before he transforms into a hulking monster capable of destroying Batman, it makes sense that he looks like...this.
