Bruce Wayne: Boy Hostage. Ugh, no wonder I can't buy into this show, I never seen Bruce as this much of a wussy as a kid. The character is way too soft to ever be Batman.

Nice, I'm still surprised at how much I'm loving this season

The Riddler and Penguin arcs have been awesome

I have a feeling the this would be the last draw for Bruce. Perhaps the writers are going to "break Bruce completely down before building him up" root. Would actually be good. the more they put him through as a kid, the more determined he gets to beat those who do the same to others. And maybe now he'll take his training seriously. Same can be said about Alfred to. He can't always be there to protect master Wayne but he can damn well teach him to protect himself.

I really do love this show. My favourite CB show on TV at the moment. And yes, more so than JJ, which I am liking.

@DrKinsolving

I'm hoping that they start bring in the bat family next, and let the stories evolve from there. Justice League is going to be epic, and Affleck/Bats is gonna be in those as far as I know.... but there's so many ways they can go, with Nightwing, or even Jean Paul Valley, etc

But, yeah, I'm still hoping for stories like Hush and Court of Owls and all of that stuff. I think it's going to be really cool to see the DCEU Gotham, because it will give us a better idea of what that city has been through over the years, maybe a prequel version of those storylines (Court of Owls, Hush, etc) would fit better

Btw, you never responded in that Joker article.... I though you got lost when you were walking your dog, ha

Lol, sorry about the extreme long wait bro! But yesss! court of owls is truly movie screen worthy you know? There's a lot of freshness to that story line that I personally feel like as if will give new and older fans a sense that "hey? I haven't been here before? Bruce has a brother? And what is up with this secret letter?" I just admired the mystery behind the story, there was plenty of questions left unanswered too. :O

I sooooooo wanted Nolan to include Jean Paul Valley as the mystery villain of TDKR. Bane was a letdown for me, verbally menacing but the realistic approach added to him made things soooo watered down. Like the scene with him punching the concrete/marble column was sooo cheesy. There was just so much that could've been done there. He could've really left the franchise on a "higher" note but both him and Bale's lack of compassion for a few more of the comic book elements is what kept them grounded in their own world. It worked, but it just could've been so much more.

"I've warmed up to them, haha

I incorporated Iceman, Richard Kuklinski and others into the mix, and I like it better know. I was always for Leto, but the look definitely didn't sit well with me at first. Kuklinski had a tattoo of the grim reaper on his hand, to warn people of what they were getting into, and it makes a lot of sense when compared to this, Joker

If you saw The Joker from the comics, especially recent years walking on the street, or in a bar and were stupid enough to mess with him, you would probably have the worst day of your life and the Joker would enjoy every second of it, ha

Also, Joker has always been known for shock value

Ultimately though, the trailer is what sold me, and the "I started a joke" theme was brilliant

Can't wait
"

That's great to hear man, I'm still getting used to them as well, but a part of me really hopes that he puts make up over them for a special event or something like that. lol But yeah, that's what I kept thinking about when we first saw the Tats. The character is so unexpectable I didn't really pay any close attention for it, he could probably care less. I just hope that the tats stop right there though. lol Don't want any more. And yes! I might watch the trailer one more time. lol We should be getting a newer one as soon as BvS releases or possibly even before it.

@TheRationalNerd

Haha, right on. Thanks for the reply man. Btw, I hope you aced that test!

I totally agree. I love the "Knightfall" arc so I was really anticipating seeing Jean Paul Valley on screen too in TDKRises, even as a minor character, but I think it's for the better that he didn't show up, because it leaves him open for a fresh interpretation in the future. TDKRises didn't really connect with me either, definitely the weakest entry of TDK trilogy. There are some great scenes in there though, but ultimately it just fell short, for all of the reasons your saying, it's why I'm really hyped for the DCEU, it will open up so many doors, because anything is possible.

And, totally, Court of Owls, Hush, Death in the Family, etc, so many amazing stories that can appeal to the GA and bring in a fresh take and a new audience.

The Joker

I can't wait man. I feel like they should have just waited and released that first photo of Leto as Joker at Comic Con with the trailer, it would have been easier to digest, haha. But, I'm not going to let the tattoos turn me off, especially when you have an actor of Leto's caliber cast as The Joker, which is perfect casting, imo.

I'm really looking forward to the Joker/Harley scenes, and the trailer and all of the promo pics and behind the scenes stuff, really sold me. Can't wait. But, yeah, I need to stay away from anymore trailers, because we have to wait all the way until August 5th 2016! haha

Can't wait

I think whenever I talk about the Joker, I say "can't wait" at least 3 or 4 times automatically, haha, I need to work on that

Such a bad casting choice for Bruce. I'll never be truly able to buy into this show because he's obviously a ridiculous choice for the future Batman. WB did the same thing on Arrow. What could have been a good show is lost because the lead as so bland.
