LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: It's Audition Time In The New Promo For Season 6, Episode 9: "This is Gus"

After an adventure in the wild west, the next episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow will take the team to 2024, where they find themselves on the set of Behrad's (Shayan Sobhian) favorite television sitcom.

However, while he may think his friends are planning a big birthday surprise for him, it looks like it'll be anything but as the Legends audition for what appears to be The CW? While Nate (Nick Zano) and Zari (Tala Ashe) keep Behrad occupied, Ava (Jes Macallan), Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) and Astra (Olivia Swann) attempt to track down a dangerous alien.

Meanwhile, when Sara (Caity Lotz) begins to notice Rory (Dominic Purcell) acting a little off, she enlists Gary (Adam Tsekhman) to help get him on track. But things take an unexpected turn when Mick gets a message from his daughter (Mina Sundwall)

Check out the new promo for episode nine, titled "Back to the Finale: Part II," below:

"This is Gus" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, DL) (HDTV)

TAKING THINGS FOR GRANTED - Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) is disappointed because the Legends have forgotten his birthday, so when they track an alien pod to 2024 and wind up at his favorite television sitcom, he thinks it's really a surprise for him. Feeling guilty, Nate (Nick Zano) and Zari (Tala Ashe) occupy Behrad by keeping up the ruse by attending a taping of the show while Ava (Jes Macallan), Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) and Astra (Olivia Swann) try to find the Alien to get the timeline back on track, which proves challenging. Meanwhile, Rory's (Dominic Purcell) behavior has been a little off, so Sara (Caity Lotz) and Gary (Adam Tsekham) become determined to find out what happened, but Rory gets some unexpected news from his daughter, Lita (guest star (Mina Sundwall.) Matt Ryan also stars. Eric Dean Seaton directed the episode written by Tyrone B. Carter (609). Original airdate 7/11/2021.

This one has stayed ok because they really lean into not taking themselves serious but it's been weird this season for sure.

Cool to see David Ramsey, and the real life Lone Ranger was a good replacement for Jonah Hex.

At some point they should do an episode with Mad Jack Churchill. The guy made it through world war 2 with a longbow, bagpipes and a broad sword. Might as well use history's major bad asses, if they arent going to have much DC history anymore. They have been pretty light on DC guest appearences since after season 3

Wonder what they will do for the 100th episode.

Doubt they could reunite the original cast and all that will be left of it is Sara.

Needs to be wacky and pay tribute to the previous seasons.

How about, don't do something big, Ember Island Players/Remembrance it.

Have the newer characters recap the previous seasons (mainly season 1) based on stories they may have been told by the older legends, and show a version of season 1 in more of a true Legends Of Tomorrow style

I need more Singing Narrator Cowboy and hilariously fake mustaches. Also if there's any single aspect of Legends I like most it's how they just seamlessly throw around meta jokes. Like how there are crossovers and season finales and, as the preview last episode showed, they're on the CW.

Took the show a few seasons to really get comfortable enough to do it, so I hope She-Hulk is at least a fraction of that.

The only CW shows I've seen since Crisis are Star Girl (which was great) and Superman and Lois (which is phenomenal). But I know once Legends wraps up I'm gonna binge the final few seasons. I just don't care enough to keep up week to week with it.

Good to read the comments. I hate this show so much but I like Diggle. Is it worth watching it for him or is it like his 2 minute Batwoman appearance?

It was a good episode. Was it great? No. It was solid, an 8/10. I honestly think the weakest part of the episode was David Ramsey (and no fault to Ramsey himself). Here you have an Arrowverse veteran, been with the verse since its inception, and he gets sidelined to play a Marshall who has maybe a total of 5 minutes on screen. That was a major disservice to Ramsey and to the fans.
