LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: New Promo For Season 5, Episode 14: "The One Where We're Trapped on TV"

With only two episodes remaining, things continue to get weird on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and next week's episode will see the team get literally trapped on a variety of different TV shows.

In an effort to protect the team, Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) is forced to scatter her friends into a variety of different television shows, which seems like a foolproof plan until she realizes that Legends are involved, which means nothing is ever as easy as it seems.

Next week's episode is the season's penultimate hour, which means we should probably expect some major fireworks as we march full steam ahead toward what's sure to be a wild fifth season finale on Tuesday, June 2nd.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow has already been renewed for a sixth season, which is set to premiere midseason 2021, alongside The CW's latest DC TV series, Superman & Lois, although that is likely subject to change depending on the status of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and on when production can resume safely.

"The One Where We're Trapped on TV" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV)

BREAKING FREE - After Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) does the one thing that goes against her nature when it comes to her sisters, she tries to protect the Legends by scattering them in different television shows. Of course, in true Legends style some can't just be blissfully ignorant and happy but figure out a way to end up messing with the system. Caity Lotz, Jes Macallan, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Olivia Swann and Matt Ryan also star. Marc Guggenheim directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & James Eagan (#514). Original airdate 5/26/2020.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with "Fugitives" - magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone's favorite demonologist to set history back on track.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Charlie
Tala Ashe as Zari Tomaz
Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe
Courtney Ford as Nora Darhk
Amy Louise Pemberton as Gideon
Ramona Young as Mona Wu
Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heywood/Commander Steel
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Matt Ryan as John Constantine
Adam Tsekhman as Gary Green

Next season we are getting at least one new legend, a women abducted by aliens as a child and given powers. My vote is for Argent

assuming its going to be a comic character

Ugh, this show has completely become a parody of comic books and superheroes and any minute, I'm expecting the characters of Family Guy to come out and reveal it's another of their retellings. It just sucks, the villains suck, the plots suck, the characters suck. There's no stakes at all, and is completely devoid of any OMG or emotional moments like seasons 1 & 2 had (and the 3rd, if that's the one where Stein died). These were the worst zombies I've seen in a long time, and some of them didn't even have believable zombie makeup! It looked like they had no direction at all, they just flailed around and acted like zombies, even though I haven't seen a single zombie ever run at select people and try to strangle them instead of bite them. Also, just because someone's "dead" doesn't mean that zombies will ignore them. The Resident Evil movie was better than this tripe. Hopefully Gary's dead for good, his character has survived two seasons too many.

At least Stargirl knows what it wants to be, an actual comic book show. With characters from the comics. And powers from the comics. And an actual comic book feel.

I confess it, I don't watch this show.

But I just watched an episode of Highlander that hit me hard and there's nobody else living in 1995 to talk to about it.

You're with the King of Trains, now, Mikey. Bad men can't get you there.

@Spock0Clock -

Which episode was this? Was it the one where Duncan McCloud buys an inflatable sex doll, then fondly reminisces about the straw woman he left behind in 1883? Because that episode made me cry.

@McGee - I'm talking about the autistic immortal episode, but you're right, the inflatable sex doll eps have been pretty damn stellar, too.

When Constantine and Zari were trying to walk through a crowd of zombies one of them was a George Romero zombie.

Also of course they all ended up at The Winchester.
