LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: The Team Gets Graded In The New Promo For Season 4, Episode 6: "Tender Is The Nate"

Next week, Nate returns to the Waverider where he's surely in for the surprise of a lifetime when he meets Amaya's new doppelgänger, Charlie. Meanwhile, the Legends tackle a mission in 1920s Paris.

After one of the most entertaining episodes of the year, the ride continues next week when the Legends find themselves being questioned by Hank Heywood (Tom Wilson) for their borderline irresponsible spending habits as well as their general weekly operations, which could probably use some work.

To show Hank they know what they're doing, the gang will take him on what they believe is a fairly straightforward mission in 1920s Paris, which, of course, turns out to be anything but. Meanwhile, back at the Time Bureau, Mona (Ramona Young) will try to make a good impression on Ava (Jes Macallan
), but will get the both of them locked away in a cell. Plus, while it's not explicitly mentioned, the episode will also presumably see Nate (Nick Zano) finally meet Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).

"Tender is the Nate" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DL) (HDTV)

SHOCKED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - When Hank Heywood (guest star Tom Wilson) confronts Ava (Jes Macallan) about the spending habits of the Legends, Nate (Nick Zano) steps in to try and smooth things over by inviting Hank on to the Waverider. The Legends then show Hank what they do by visiting 1920s Paris, trying to capture the newest Fugitive. Meanwhile, Mona (Ramona Young) is trying to make a good impression with Ava, but her over eagerness gets her and Ava stuck in a cell instead. Caity Lotz, Matt Ryan, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Tala Ashe and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Dean Choe directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Matthew Maala wrote the episode (#406). Original airdate 11/26/2018.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with "Fugitives" - magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone's favorite demonologist to set history back on track.

I really enjoyed this episode. I knew that the octopus would serve as inspiration for Godzilla. I enjoyed the resolution to Nora's plot thread, but I wish she'd stick around. I did not see that twist at the end and I wonder who the other person is? I'm hoping for someone like Felix Faust, considering the name of the project. We need a big bad worthy of Constantine's presence. This episode was campy in all the good ways.

And is this the first time we've ever seen Heat Wave have a romance scene in his entire CW history? I can't remember.

@GAThrawnIGF - Funny you should mention the Tagumo-inspiring-Godzilla thing:

Okay, being a big Godzilla fan, the fact that the historical figure the team met with was Ishiro Honda, the director who helmed a good majority of the Godzilla films? Made me really, really giddy with glee.

Rory continues being the best character even when the show doesn't have any idea what to do with him.

I thought the episode was a bit all over the place with basically 4 plots (2 main ones and 2 subplots) but in the end it everything ended up paying and connecting.

Tagumo being some kind of Hiroshima a metaphor of nuclear weapons before Mick ended up inspiring the director to go and create Godzilla was a good resolution. So was the twist that Tagumo was just an idea brought to life by that magical book, the real "fugitive".

Mick definitely inspired himself from Total Recall for his original character to save the day. As for what happened afterwards...no comment. Blatant OC x creator stuff you find in Fanfictin.Net. But at least he came clean about his hidden talent as a writer. Maybe one day he'll write a book about their stories. (Heck if he ever returns to Central City and forms the Rogues, might as well for them)

Ray and Nora's plot was good too, not much time was wasted in it and they did their job right in saving Constantine. Another tease of whoever is after him when they joined their hands. But I need more than just a "he's from the past" to be satisfied.

Nora surrendering to the Bureau hit some feels in order to be truly fear of what she did in S3. That was thanks to the real life chemistry of Brandon Routh and her own since they're married in real life.

I hope Constantine restores back Charlie's shapeshifting soon, she'll come more handy beyond just being their source of what they deal with each week.

Bureau plot was silly at first but that ending with Nate's father answering someone's call about how the magical creatures they store there in the present are managable for "Project Hades" just made him more relevant to this year's story. And I think that Mona will be an important part since she was able to understand the creatures were just hungry. She must be somekind of fugitive herself to know this, seems too innate to just be a coincidence.

Hank must've started to plan this since the 2nd episode where he saw magic unfold at the Bureau.

Also they made a "Babayaga" reference at the start for Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Next ep hopefully carries on the momentum from where Nate's father is coming, it sounds promising and what this Season needed.

Looks down at typewriter... "yes, I was watching porn." LMFAO

Good episode, I kind of wish the monster was real rather than being the figment of some evil novel. But good humor, good visuals. Liked the monsters escaping at the Time Bureau. And I like Charlie's first mission.

So far this week:

1. Arrow- pretty good
2. Legends- good
3. Supergirl- good

And haha, Mick's Total Recall chick and the fight with the monster was great. And I like how Mick gave the inspiration for Godzilla.

I forgot to say this but probably the most unrealisic thing to see happen here was not Tagumo nor the magic book or Mick's creation but the fact that Ray easily broke with his bare hands a cellphone in half. :P
