PEACEMAKER Season Finale Promo Teases World-Ending Consequences And New Addition To The Anti-Hero's Arsenal

The first season of Peacemaker has whizzed by, and there's only one episode left. Titled "It's Cow or Never," a promo for the finale teases an epic battle and a new weapon in Christopher Smith's arsenal...

The season finale of Peacemaker arrives on HBO Max next week, and with no screeners sent out to critics, Warner Bros. clearly wants everyone to be surprised by whatever happens in the episode.

We're definitely excited to see how this story wraps up, and a new promo for "It's Cow or Never" offers a few exciting teases about what to expect. As well as providing a closer look at whatever the heck that alien "cow" is, we get to see Peacemaker's team head into battle against the remaining Butterflies, and it's obvious they have quite the fight on their hands.

However, one particularly cool blink-and-you'll-miss-it reveal is Christopher Smith wielding his own shield, Captain America-style.

We're definitely still a little confused about James Gunn's decision not to make use of aliens from the DC Universe, and the Butterflies are oddly similar to Starro, but we're hoping for some surprises in the final episode that better establish this show's place in the wider DCEU.

"Peacemaker quickly establishes itself as essential viewing for fans of The Suicide Squad," we said in our review of the show's first three episodes, "but it's a career-best performance from John Cena and the greatest opening credits of all time that will make sure you want to come back each week."

Idk what's wrong with me but I can only handle this show in like doses of one episode every 2 weeks lol I like it but it's almost too much.

I don't know how to describe it other than comparing it to this very specific scenario:

It's that same energy of being a 40 something, middle aged depressed and tired person who has to work everyday with these high energy joking around constantly unprofessional younger kids, and you appreciate them to a degree cuz they can be funny and they help the time go by quicker, but holy hell they can be annoying as [frick] too and you can only take so much of them and are so ready to clock off at the end of your shift so you can sit in the quiet of your car away from them for a while and enjoy your time away from them till you have to clock in the next day.

It's very much that energy with Peacemaker lol its funny and entertaining, but I can't stay in that energy non stop.

@ElricReturns - I felt that way up until the last 2 episodes. It went a little bit too hard on the juvenile humor and some bits went on way too long but I feel like it’s got it’s stride

Legit,he might not be the same from the comics but this show is great! You can do dark and gritty if it has legit funny moments. Someone tell Snyder lol

@OldMan - it's definitely dated, but Chris has an ageless charm as Clark. And the story Donner wanted to craft is timeless and solid, mostly.

Given that Gunn didnt let press screen this episode for fear of spoilers, this should be BIG.

Unrelated but why are there no Boba Fett articles up yet? Obi Wan poster? LOTR stills? Bit strange

That promo for the season finale looks like The Suicide Squad all over again. The big goofy monster they all have to fight at the end to save the world.

I've enjoyed it but there's just something missing for me. And I'm not a fan of the soundtrack. Not even the choice in music but the way it's edited in doesn't fit with the scenes for me. Similar problem to aquaman.
