SUPERMAN & LOIS Star Elizabeth Tulloch Reveals Title For Season 4/Series Finale As Production Begins

Production has just begun on Superman & Lois' final episode, with Lois Lane actress Elizabeth Tulloch revealing it will be titled "It Went By So Fast."

Brent Fletcher wrote the episode alongside Todd Helbing, with Gregory Smith set to direct. Once it airs, likely at the end of 2024, that will be a wrap on the last Arrowverse (or Arrowverse-adjacent) DC TV series. All future titles are set to fall under the DC Studios umbrella.

"Tried to take a normal 'First day of filming the [Superman & Lois] series finale!' selfie, but quickly ended up in tears," Tulloch says in the Instagram post below. "What a beautiful ride this has been. So grateful. Especially to our crew - this final season has been tough physically and emotionally on everyone and I see you and how hard you are working and I am so appreciative of you all."

With any luck, we'll get some photos from the finale's set, though those have been few and far between for the rest of season 4. We're not sure if that's due to a lack of interest from the paparazzi or an indication the series is saving money by not shooting on location.

Last year, Superman & Lois executive producers and co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher said this about the show's ending:

"While we're sad to say goodbye to Superman & Lois at the end of Season Four, we're grateful for the time we've had with our amazing cast, crew, VFX teams, editors, musical geniuses, and writers. Since the day this show was first discussed, it was about family. And that's what was created on and off screen."

"We'd like to thank our partners at Berlanti Productions, DC, WB and The CW for their endless support and enthusiasm during this journey...and give a very special thank you to all the fans for tuning in. We're thrilled about what we have in store in our final season, and can't wait for everyone to watch as Superman, Lois and all our heroes face off against the biggest threat in the show's history-Lex Luthor."

Superman & Lois was developed by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti for The CW. The show stars Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane. It follows the iconic superhero couple as they navigate the challenges of parenthood while also dealing with the responsibilities and dangers that come with being Earth's greatest protector.

The premise of Superman & Lois diverges slightly from traditional Superman stories by focusing more on the family dynamic between Clark, Lois, and their teenage sons, Jonathan and Jordan Kent. The series explores how Clark balances his duties as Superman with his obligations as a husband and father, all while living in the small town of Smallville.

Superman & Lois is set to return to The CW with its fourth and final season this fall.

I looked at that pic and audibly said to myself “damn”.

She’s beautiful. But most importantly, she embodied the spirit of the character well, and gave her new avenues to explore. A great portrayal that did well with what she was given.

Excited to see how they wrap it all up.

Multiverse-shit is in DC's DNA so i'm sure we'll see them reprise their role, somehow, someday...

Just like with any other actor who played Superman, heh.

Man , this sucks…

It’s a great and very appropriate title imo but goddamnit , I want more!!.

This show has really revitalized my love for Superman and his world and to see it end prematurely makes me sad but oh well…

It’s a been a well told & engaging ride thus far and I hope S4 wraps it!!.

Josh doesn't matter if you disable the comments in your crappy editorials...I just wanted to point out yet another proof of how dumb you are..

"basically copying and pasting their tones from the MCU. Honestly, it was the right decision...it just didn't work."

Jesus you're getting dumber by the minute.

Arrow - Fadeout.
Black Lightning - The Book of Resurrection: Chapter Two: Closure.
Supergirl - Kara
Batwoman - We Having Fun Yet?
Legends of Tomorrow - Knocked Down, Knocked Up.
Stargirl - Chapter 13: The Reckoning.
The Flash - A New World: Finale.
Gotham Knights - Night of the Owls.
Superman & Lois - It Went By So Fast.

They should be allowed to keep going at least until next year. In any case the cast and their impact won't be so quickly forgotten, not even by the new brand and shiny DCU.

Break a leg S&L cast and up up and away.
