At long last, Superman & Lois is here, and following that action-packed series premiere that reintroduced the Arrowverse's Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and brought them back home to good ol' Smallville, The CW has released a new extended teaser for what's to come.

Next week, the series will continue to focus on the Kents' efforts to reacclimate to small-town living, but when Jordan (Alex Garfin) seems to be having some difficulty adjusting, Clark will bring him along to the Fortress of Solitude to gain some additional insight from Jor-El.

Meanwhile, Lana Lang Cushing (Emmanuelle Chriqui) invites the Kent family over for a barbecue with her family, and back at work, tensions begin to rise between Lois and Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner).

Check out the extended trailer, with footage from the next few episodes, below!

@McGee - had nothing to do with Cavil being british. Had to do with Snyder writing him as a blank slate
McGee

For those who don't know, "blank slate" is coded language for British people who had sex with Kaley Cuoco and never called her back.

You are a monster, sir! >:(

@dracula - S true Superman? And what makes a true Superman?
dracula
dracula - 2/23/2021, 11:22 PM
@nikgrid - His ideals and his personality. Takes more than powers and a costume to make superman. Like what did Jonathan and Martha teach him nothing growing up. That blank slate had none of the development superman should have by the time he becomes superman.

George Reeve had that
Christopher Reeves had that
Dean Cain had that
Tom Welling had that by season 5
Tim Daly had that
George Newberg had that
Tyler Hoechlin has that
and yeah you can tell them all apart none of them are a carbon copy of the other, but they still have superman's defining traits. It's not Cavil's fault he just does whats in the script, but his version doesn't have those defining traits.

@dracula - preach brother.

@dracula - Did Superman in Action Comics #1 have that? or Superman in Kingdom Come?
dracula
dracula - 2/24/2021, 12:39 AM
@nikgrid - Ones a complete elseworld. The other, you want to compare what can be established in a 2 and a half hour movie to what probably amounts to 15 pages at the most from the 1930's. No goldgen age character had everything in their first appearence, why? because stories were short as hell, and lets face it golden age comics can be fun but they werent exactly complex in the story telling department. Fact is these characters have had their defining traits for a large majority of their existence and snyder striped them of all that. Good thing Patty Jenkins saved Wonder Woman, cause yeah she probably had a faster establishing of her defining traits than Superman and Batman and Snyder's original plan resembled Wonder Woman even less than his versions of Superman and Batman. Superman didn't even have those traits in BVS. If Snyder wanted to tell a Clark Kent becoming Superman story, then he should have done that, no suit, set mostly in smallville and young Clark, when he is suppose to gain that development. (guess a condensed version of smallville).

This show shows how full of shit snyder is. Development doesn't stop when he becomes superman. He does move, he does grow, he does have personal conflict.

@dracula - So Action Comics Superman isn't Superman then? And Kingdom Come Superman isn't Superman?

Look Tom Welling in Smallville didn't behave like Clark from the comics OR the films, Cavill did, Man of Steel is an excellent Superman film, and you want complex storytelling you have Clark wondering where he came from finds out his people are horrible and want to make Mankind EXTINCT. BvS he is rightfully doubting things because he chose humanity over his own people, and is now the last of his kind. WB cut BvS short and the movie suffered, so you never got to see the next phase of Cavill's Superman. But he IS Superman, very much so.

Was decent. The best part to me was the suit his mom made him.

This was truly a great start to the show. It doesn't feel like a traditional CW DC show, which is absolutely a good thing.

It looked good. I loved the opening summary of past events and use of Superman's powers. I just they would lighten up. The personal drama felt like overkill. The family stuff was boring and I was begging them to get back to Clark being Superman. I'll give the show a chance, but I do hope they fix those problems and perhaps give Tyler Hoechlin a shave.

Now this is how you tell a modern superman story. Dont just have him mope about being an alien for 3 hours, give him real human problems and drama
DartOfHarkness
DartOfHarkness - 2/23/2021, 8:19 PM
It was a mixed bag for me. I'll say though, Evil Ironman is a weird choice for the villain.

@JossThePig - Difference is Superman acts like Superman and has problems beyond just "Im an alien." Also actively tries to keep action away from cities
