THE FLASH: Things Get Weird In The New Promo For Season 8, Episode 15; "Into The Still Force"

With Iris (Candice Patton) lost in time, next week's episode of The Flash will see Barry (Grant Gustin) travel inside the Still Force, where he'll receive an assist from both Deon (Christian Magby) and a surprising face, XS (Jessica Parker Kennedy). However, whether she's the daughter he remembers remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, back on the homefront, Chester (Brandon McKnight) will lend a helping hand to Kristen Kramer (Carmen Moore) and the CCPD when a mysterious device is discovered at a crime scene.

Plus, it seems like we'll get a lot more insight into that intriguing cliffhanger between Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Mark (Jon Cor) as they attempt to do something that could be insanely dangerous.

Check out the new promo for episode fifteen, titled "Into the Still Force," below:

This is still running? I thought it got cancelled already. I tried to watch this but couldn't even finish second season. First season was ok.

This was an unusual episode for the show to do because it's a little outside of the box to pull off something that barely has any action besides in the opening sequence but somehow they found a way to make each of the characters' tribute to Frost to carry weight.

Chester messing up the commands from the comms to Allegra at the beginning by mistakenly mentioning Killer Frost's role in a mission as if she was still there felt real, that can happen to anybody so I found it relatable.

Iris honoring her by inviting citizens that were at some point saved by her to share their exeriences in the podcast was a nice touch. And it reflected on her beverage's name being changed to just Frost.

Didn't expect Chester and Allegra to have their first "argument" with name drops such as Condiment King lmao, but the end was sweet with how they came up with Frost's mural on that hall of fallen heroes they have at STAR Labs.

Very IC for Barry to fulfill as quick as possible all of her bucket list wishes which ranged from cute stuff like the snowman on a high mountain to winning in her name that eating contest at CCPD (?).

However I could tell that during his conversation with Caitlin to convince her that she had to assist to Frost's funeral that something lighted up in her head and it wasn't going to be a good idea: attempting to bring her back with Chillblaine's help (whom if he wasn't compensating with drowning his grief in drinks he'd be a far worse emotional mess) is an idea that could go awfully haywire. Not sure what is gonna happen there.

And Iris' time sickness finally fractured her through time. I've been waiting for this arc to begin for a while already so glad it is happening. "Into The Still Force" looks already great if it is gonna be like that S3 episode where Flash went into the Speed Force.

@NinnesMBC - Agree it was a fairly solid episode. Actually the season hasn't been that bad although it would be hard to tell with all the bitching on this site crying "is this still on?, or "I haven't watched this since season 2" on here. The Flash is a consistently watchable show if not the greatest thing out there. And since I remember the days when we had virtually nothing at all when it came to comic related shows, I'm happy as hell this is still on and will support it as longs as it plays.

@Mugens - Agreed with everything you said, it's consistenly watchable and more when everything has been structured so that a lot of what has taken place was planned in advance. Just by taking a look at that part of the preview showing Barry holding up the hairbrush that disappeared at the end of 8x06 shows that it was meant to be fractured in time by Iris' temporal sickness so that it would end up in the Still Force so that later Flash himself would find it as the first clue that leads him to find her back and deal with the sickness itself.

The landscape of comic book shows adaptations has changed literally in every way compared to 10 years ago. Smallville began it with DC and then Arrow carried it on and the rest is history. MCU and Arrowverse are both responsible for the amount of content we have today and both have been as well the most coherent and interconnected franchises.

Even with the inconsistent writing, The Flash usually knocks it out of the park on emotionally heavy episodes but I guess thanks to the inconsistent writing, I absolutely did not care about Frost's death. Nothing really hit me like I felt like they were trying to convey.

Then we get to the end of the episode and find out Caitlyn is gonna bring her back, basically telling us that this whole episode didnt even matter.

Gotta say that pseudo version of Blockbuster gave me TDKR Bane vibes with that voice he had along with the tech that was powering him up. :P

And also that scene of Barry holding the hairbrush that disappeared from the timeline in the end of 8x06 will become relevant in aiding Flash's search for Iris because it had to be the first item to be vanished by her temporal sickness and end up in the Still Force so that now he finds it there and starts to put together the clues of where she could've ended up going. It was always meant to be connected later on, that's neat.
