Things look set to take a very unexpected turn in season four of The Flash when the villainous Kilg%re comes to Central City. Showrunner Todd Helbing confirmed his arrival during an interview with Comic Book Resources, calling the tech-based alien "a lot of fun" and describing him as an "electro-mechano-organic lifeform." Beyond that, details are scarce, but the comics provide plenty of intel on him.

Debuting in 1987's Flash #3, Kilg%re battled Wally West on a number of occasions and was created by Mike Baron and Jackson Guice. At one point, he controlled Maxwell Lord and used him to create the Justice League International team. That was because he wanted to increase his power with a high-tech superhero network. He's also appeared in Cyborg's current series with a massive robotic body.

Chances are the villain will be brought to life with special effects but we'll have to wait and see. What do you guys think of this addition to The Flash's fourth season? Share your thoughts in the usual place.

Sounds great. Hopefully they will go with something unique when it comes to his design, and not some human sized android.

More interested to see how The thinkerer will look like

I've read a lot of Bronze Age and Modern Age DC comics and never heard of this character.

The battles between Flash and non-speedsters are always the best fight scenes to me. You have to get more creative instead of just racing around the city.
