More TITANS Set Photos Show Brenton Thwaites's Robin Out Of Costume Alongside The Rest Of The Team

Another batch of photos from the set of Titans have surfaced and as well as showing Dick Grayson/Robin out of costume, there are also more shots of Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven. Check them out here...

Yesterday, the first photos from the set of Titans showed up online and the response was mixed. However, we may now have an explanation for the unconventional appearances of Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire because Brenton Thwaites' Robin has also been spotted in Toronto, albeit out of costume.

Rather than DC Entertainment dropping the ball with the costumes for these heroes, we may just be looking at them out of costume as they attempt to blend in with the citizens of whatever fictional city from the DC Universe they're supposed to be in here. Given how comic accurate the suits for Robin, Hawk, and Dove were, it's hard to imagine that not
being the case for the rest of this superhero team.

With any luck, Warner Bros. will release some official images in the coming days now these set photos are doing the rounds but we'll have to wait and see. How do you guys think Titans is shaping up so far?

All the people bitching about the Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy "costumes", do you really think the people who gave us these

and obviously these

are going to drop the ball on those character, when Hawk and Dove arent even main characters.
Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy are obviously new heroes and will get their actual costume at the end of this season or begining of next season

@Nebula -
Red Tornado: Ended up being a 1 time character, and if people hadnt complained so much, he was going to evolve as he appeared more often.
Spartan: They fixed the mask in season 5
Indigo:Ill give you that one, Krypton shows you can do a character like that on a tv budget and make it look good.
But my point still stand most of the time they pull it off, and Hawk and Dove arent main characters, but they are still getting great suits, the stuff the 3 were wearing in the photos dont look anything like suits, they are just regular clothes, and if we wait we will get actual suits. It took Roy and Wally and Mon El until the 3rd season of their shows to get their costumes, and they all looked great when they finally did, if we can wait for that, we should be able to wait 1 season

@dracula - Yeah, and they still look awful despite your reasoning.

@dracula - Red Tornado appeared in the Earth X crossover with a drastically improved look, but Spartan still looks terrible.

@dracula - Its not just about the costumes, its about the skin colours - orange and green - and the ramifications of not having them. If Starfire looks like a normal human that is a fundamental change to the character. Likewise if she can just make herself appear as a normal human whenever she wants to. It changes large themes and struggles the character has had in the comics. So even if they fix the costumes, if that doesn't include changing the skin of at least two of them and a decent explanation as to how, then its still a large problem.

I'm assuming these are some sort of undercover/civilian getups that they're wearing. No way would they provide us with such great costumes for Robin, Hawk, and Dove, and then drop the ball so massively on the rest.

@Prork - By wearing the colors they’re known for, and probably calling attention with said colors? I think that’s just wishful thinking, and this shouldn’t be Power Rangers.

Is this connected to Flash and Super-Girl or is this more along the lines of Gotham ??

@emeraldtaurus - Its made by the same people as Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends Of Tomorrow and Black Lightning, but because its on the Streaming service, it probably is set on its own earth, and crossovers are a lot less likely, but not impossible considering, when Supergirl was on CBS they crossed over with the Flash

Wait a goddamn second ....Is starfire black? Thats new...i think im cool with it...How come theres been no bitching about it yet?? Maybe society is turning a corner....?
SanDevil

@OptimusGrime - Turning a corner? society is going backward. Starfire is orange [frick]ing alien in the comics, therefore, she should be an orange alien in the TV show. Why is she black? This black casting for the sake of being PC is a [frick]ing disgrace.

SanDevil - 4/12/2018, 2:15 AM
@OptimusGrime - Really just an opportunity to appease the PC Police by disrespecting the source material of a lesser known character. There's a reason why they cant pull this shit with main characters like Robin or Flash, Starfire and Iris West take the hit.
