On the heels of an an extended promo and batch of promo stills for tomorrow's season 2 finale of Titans, DC Universe has debuted a new poster which gives us another look at Dick Grayson as Nightwing, along with the rest of the heroes and Deathstroke.

Grayson will debut his new identity in order to come to his teammates' rescue and do battle with the man who's sworn to eliminate all of the Titans, Slade Wilson.

The recent promo seemingly made it clear that Slade would be successful in taking out at least one member of the team in this episode, and there's a lot of speculation that it's going to be Jason Todd - although he does appear to be present at the funeral. That could be misdirection, or course.

Check out the poster for "Nightwing" below, along with the recently released images. Have you been enjoying season 2 of Titans so far?

The Titans reassemble under Dick, who has now fully taken on the mantle of Nightwing, to fight Deathstroke and attempt to save Jericho. But that’s not the only struggle they face – as the team finds themselves up against mind-altered versions of Gar and Conner, who are now supercharged weapons at the “mercy” of Mercy Graves (recurring guest star NATALIE GUMEDE) and her Cadmus final Phase Two plan. It’s Titans vs. Titans in the epic season two finale that’s filled with surprises.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - I'm not sure what that means.

I feel like the conflict between the Titans and Deathstroke in this show is so weak.

After watching the nosedive in quality this season took I think I figured out the problem I have. They have combined the dark and gritty nature of Season 1 with the comicbook and cheerful tone that the CW adopted. Basically it's like the first Kick-Ass at times.

This is why I feel like The Boys is everything Titans could have been. A team of dysfunctional and powerful individuals adored by civilians but hated by the ones who see them for who they really are. I really wanted Dick to be that mentor figure that matured the team while disowning Batman's approach to solo crime fighting.

I'm waiting until I see the final episode until I pass judgement on this season as a whole. I've liked it so far. I think they need to start building this earth the way they built the arrowverse. Start doing spin-offs and have series cross-over to build audiences and raise awareness of each show. I think a good place to start would be a Doom Patrol/Titans crossover where they team up to take down a classic DC villain like Parasite or Lobo. There, you could spin off Lobo into a anti-hero show where he ends up helping other heroes. You could also do an episode where Jason Todd is killed with Red Hood tease and have a show set in the 2-3 future with Jason Todd as Red Hood. Curran Walters is excellent in the role. There he could cross paths with Terry McGinnis as a new Batman while tracking down Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, who will be an experienced Nightwing.

Anyway, fan fic aside, my point is that DC Universe should really start building it's original content for streaming. If they want to make more money, DC should just go wild with creating everything. Have different versions of Superman, Batman and so on. Viewers are smart. They can distinguish between different stories. Don't limit shows on what they can and can't do. If Titans needs to use Batman, let them. If the Arrowverse needs to use the term Justice League, let them. If Batwoman needs to use the Joker to explain what happened on the bridge, let them.

The big problem I have with Titans this season is that they tried to cram too much into it. They keep adding lots of new main characters and plot lines, when they haven't finished fleshing out the one they have. As a result, aside from Dick, the rest feel like they are merely guest stars in their own show, being relegated to a few blocks of exposition dialogue instead of true character development. Beast Boy has probably suffered the most.

See those photos with Dick and Connor in a field? Do you think that’s maybe at the end of the episode? Dick taking him to the Kent farm?

The writing on this show is staggeringly uneven. Most of the motivations and choices made are so illogical and frankly dumb that its hard to watch at times.

Dick shows up to fight Deathstroke. Wonder Girl, Starfire and Raven SIT. IN. A SUV. While he fights their biggest enemy. Raven takes the time to heal Starfire’s wound...and continues to just ‘watch’ from the SUV(?). Wonder Girl is MANY times stronger than Deathstroke....but she never emerges to help Dick and Ravage fight? Starfire is useless without her power so ok, stay out of the way.

The whole scene was stupid....

.BECAUSE....

The entire team gets together to fight Superboy....WHO IS A MUCH BIGGER THREAT THAN DEATHSTROKE COULD EVER BE! Wonder Girl subdues Superboy? Why didn’t she do that to Deathstroke?!

Just poorly written.

Was really disappointed in the finale. Those were the 2 most weakest deaths I have ever seen 😑🤦‍♂️

That was a letdown. Lots of WTF moments and not in a good way.

Not sure why they even bother to get in costume since half the time they do super hero shit in street clothes in broad daylight/public.

GOT guy as Bruce Wayne was a D+ at best - unless his Batman had a sword, I can't see him fighting Bane or anyone bigger than Scarecrow.

Deathstroke was pretty solid until he went out like a bitch.

Wonder Girl's death was lame AF

The Harley Quinn cartoon was kind of funny though...

@Batmangina - Damn, I actually agree with EVERYTHING you just said lol. Wonder Girl and Deathstroke's death were both let downs to me....but I'm pretty sure Wonder Girl will be coming back. I also thought Harley Quinn was better than I anticipated it to be.

Just watched finale. Agree with everything said. I want to love this series, I was a huge fan of the classic New Teen Titans comic of the 80s.

It visually it looks good but the writing is so lazy. There a no real consequences for the characters. Dick walks out of prison unnoticed and should be effectively a fugitive... No consequences. Beast Boy and Superboy kill a truck load of innocent people yet the general public ultimately seem oblivious... No consequences. I could go on. The lot of em should be public enemy number one by now if there were any sense to the series.

The two deaths were anticlimactic and not earned or even logical??? Bruce Wayne's presence seemed like a waste of valuable screen time. And all those long boring emotional exposition scenes... don't tell us - show us! They constantly talk family, but I get absolutely no sense of it as the characters have little to no chemistry.

Well, it's been renewed for a third season, so maybe third time lucky... if I can be bothered to watch.

Give Anna Diop and Conor Leslie their own show, they are the best thing in it.

That finale was HORRIBLE. The way some of the characters were handled was laughably bad.
The Deathstroke story and the Cadmus story were two seasons worth of content crammed into one.
It's like one step forward and two steps back with this show.
