Gillian Anderson Updates Status of X-Files 3 Movie

Will there be an X-Files 3?
“I hope it will happen, there’s talk of it. I don’t know who’s writing it but I hear there’s something going on.”


How would Gillian make a fourth X-Files?
“I’ve always wanted to do a spoof of the X-Files as a film. We talked about that for a long time but maybe after three features we could get to do a spoof feature.”


A spoof for the fourth feature? I don't want see that. If you want to spoof the series then go on Saturday Night Live, but I'm not sitting through a comedy version.

First off talk of a third film is surprising since the last film was such a disappointment. The second film departed from the alien conspiracy theories which rocketed the series into a top ten rated show while in it's prime.

Hopefully the third film can return to what made the show so intriguing to begin with.

damn it, I lost another X Files news to post on here again!
cool find man, I really hope that they do a third X Files movie, I am a huge fan of the show, and the first movie was great, and the second was too bad with story. But X Files movie are always welcome to see Mulder and Scully relationship back!
I hope they do a third movie about the 2012 alien conspiracy happening. And yeah a fourth movie as a spoof would be an idiot idea.

All I know is, if you were a teen around the mid to late 90's, and had a penis, Gillian was at, or near, the top of your wanna-bang-every-which-way-list. Her often thought about Ginger sweet sauce was the stuff wet dreams were made of. Ahh, memories...

PS: Hope it gets made, in the final TV episode of the X-files they revealed that 2012 was the date for the final invasion. It was mild nightmare fuel for me since then, i want to see it resolved.

I never missed an episode of the series until the last few seasons but it was a great show. The 1st movie was ok. Haven't seen the 2nd one yet.

I have that orinal FHM mag from the 90's where she did that photo shoot, can;t beleive mid 90s collectors wanted to pay over a £100 for it and i thought, if its worth that now, what will it be worth now......Nothing, like the amount a third movie would make!!!

The X-Files franchise died a slow, painful death. If you didn't experience it, I was there. Trust me, it hurt. Stop digging up the show's corpse and playing Weekend At Bernie's with it. Please, I'm begging.

By the way, I'm pretty sure those red carpet pics are from the premiere of the last movie, in 2008.

As a fan, I wouldn't be opposed to a complete X-Files reboot, except JJ Abrams went and made a sorta reboot/sorta ripoff already. Maybe in another decade. TV could use a quality horror series beside Walking Dead.

I never watched either movie but I LOVED the series. I had a highschool teacher who would have us watch X-Files every Friday, those were the days

as a fan of the show i actually liked the whole idea of the 2nd movie being like a bigger 'one shot', since those were my favorite episodes, not the alien conspiracy ones that moved the overall arc
