“There will be blood." Producer David Benioff tells Access Hollywood. And going by the events of George RR Martin's second novel in the Song Of Ice And Fire series(A Clash Of Kings) lots of it. Fans of the books that have watched the show will have noticed one or two slight alterations. Mainly things from the second novel appearing in the show's first season, such as Catelyn Stark's interrogation of Jaime "Kingslayer" Lannister. Benioff reveals that we will be seeing more of that in season 2..

“A few things from book 3 will be in [Season] 2 actually. It’s a
lot of journeys. Jon Snow is wandering north of the wall with the Night’s Watch to find out what’s going on up there, and Theon Greyjoy is traveling to his ancestral homeland.”

“We do introduce Stannis [Baratheon], the missing brother, who was often referred to, but never seen in the first season".

Benioff also confirms recent rumors that the character of Asha Greyjoy will be getting a name change due to sounding too similar to Osha, the Wildling woman who is currently Bran Stark's protector.

“We’re a little bit worried about the Osha/Asha sounding too close together, So it might be a slightly different name.”

I'm really not a fan of this carry on at all. Similar concerns were raised back when Peter Jackson was shooting Lord Of The Rings. Some felt that Sauraman and Sauron sounded too alike. Granted those characters play much bigger roles in the story than both Asha and Osha but a bit of word play would solve it imo. Anyway, it is what it is.

Whatevs... her name is a minor point. More important is who they cast in the role. Whoever it is, she better be H-O-T because Asha is supposed to be a looker.

if ur too dumb to figure out that they are two different people, then u prolly dont need to be watching the show in the first place.

I can understand the name change if they decide to do it. I'm cool with it as along as they don't actually change the character. She is a badass.

they changed her name to "Yara" if i remember, although i suppose the casting call name could always change between now and then

not that i care, i never really gave two shits about Asha in the books. asha, euron, victarion,damphair... the whole iron islands thing really was boring and felt like a waste of time. which is like, half of book 4.

i hope they make changes to make asha more interesting in the show, like they did with theon
