GAME OF THRONES: Season 5 Set Snaps From Šibenik Cathedral
Production for HBO's fifth season of Game Of Thrones has moved to the town of Šibenik in Croatia, and after the jump you can see some nice, clear pics of the likes of Maisie Williams, Mark Gatiss, Roger Ashton-Griffiths and Ian Beattie in costume.
From the costumes and the characters involved (Arya, Meryn Trant, Mace Tyrell, Tycho Nestoris), we can deduce that Šibenik is doubling for Braavos here. At the end of season 4, Arya gained passage to Braavos with her "Valar Morghulis" coin, so obviously she arrived safely and is making an effort to blend in with the locals. As for why the others are there, we can only assume that Trant is acting as bodyguard to Tyrell as he meets with Nestoris, who as we know runs the Iron Bank of Braavos. Apparently over 200 extras were utilized for this scene.
