The wait is nearly over!

With Game of Thrones set to return in just under two weeks, HBO has shared another stunning batch of hi-resolution photos from the upcoming final season of the fantasy drama series, featuring an early preview of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenarys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), and most of our heroes gathering in Winterfell to gear up for the imminent arrival of the Night King (Vladimir Furdik).

Meanwhile, Cersei (Lena Headey) plots her revenge in King's Landing and fortifies her defenses in preparation for the Mother of Dragons.

In addition, we have an ominous new "Aftermath" promo which teases the fall of Winterfell... again!

In Season 7, Daenerys Targaryen has finally set sail for Westeros with her armies, dragons and new Hand of the Queen, Tyrion Lannister. Jon Snow has been named King in the North after defeating Ramsay Bolton in the Battle of the Bastards and returning Winterfell to House Stark. In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister has seized the Iron Throne by incinerating the High Sparrow, his followers and her rivals in the Sept of Baelor. But as old alliances fracture and new ones emerge, an army of dead men marches on the Wall, threatening to end the game of thrones forever.

The good? I think the only character in this show that is inherently good is Samwell Tarly. All the other characters are evil to morally grey.

@BreakTheCode - that's one of the points of the show... especially with certain characters.... you watch them start true and good will'd , until situations on choices where if they stay the same they will be killed....

@Ryguy88 - Jon Snow played things pretty fickle with the wildlings at first, and just wait on Bran.
