The Essential Watchmen App for the iPhone and iPod touch contains behind the scenes journals, podcasts, clips from the film, trailers, information etc.
I actually think that the application looks really cool (see images here) and the design is really creative (very similar to Ozymandias’ video hub). The “Doomsday Clock” counts down the days until the movie is finally released, and in the mean time gives you some goodies like clips and behind the scene footage. The Watchmen iPhone and iPod app also includes a real time feed for the latest news on the Watchmen movie.
The tech team behind the Watchmen iPhone and iPod app are also working on future developments for the app, including a “Rorschach Ink Blot Manipulator”, additional wallpapers, videos, and photos from the film.
