3 Reasons Why I'm Psyched For MARVEL'S MOST WANTED

Sometimes in life we have to discuss things we'd rather not discuss. In this case, it's why all the haters are wrong about Most Wanted. I kid, but you should come check out why I'm stoked for the show! Come on, click. We have cookies.

That's right kids, it's controversial opinion time! When the announcement was made way back when that Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter would be getting their own show, there was quite the uproar over whether or not that was a good idea. To a lot of people, it seemed pointless, and took away one of the great aspects of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It's almost like the bad outweighs the good.

But I feel like there's more to these complaints than people let on. For instance, if the show was instead called Marvel's Mockingbird and didn't include Lance Hunter, I think you'd see a lot less of an uproar--even though the show can shift between the two whenever necessary. Today, dear children, I'm going to present to you three reasons why Bobbi and Hunter leaving is a good thing. Let's get started.

3). MCU Expansion

We've all heard the rumors about there being a division between Marvel Studios and Marvel Television, and while I have no doubt there's truth to them, there's no way it's as bad as y'all make it out to be. There have only been two movies released since the Netflix shows began, and with the hectic writing/shooting schedules of all those products, it's completely understandable why there's been no level of crossover yet. SPOILERS With Peggy Carter's funeral set to be included in Captain America: Civil War, I'd say it's a safe bet that a small Easter egg could be included to her show.

But, you see, S.H.I.E.L.D. has a problem that none of the other TV properties have. Not only is it's main character Phil Coulson supposed to be dead, but S.H.I.E.L.D. itself is supposed to be long gone as well. And there's no way to crossover into the films without most likely damaging that film's narrative.

Most Wanted will have no such barriers. It can literally go to any place, places S.H.I.E.L.D. or Daredevil couldn't go. This is just a random vigilante couple trying to protect themselves and the people around them. They may never crossover into the films, which is fine! But they don't have to worry about the public knowing who they are, or have a secret identity to keep under wraps. This is a much more freeing show than the one it spin out of.

2). Leaves Breathing Room For Secret Warriors

This is a relatively small reason, but a valid one nonetheless. A common complaint about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is that it's too crowded; it's trying to juggle to many characters. While it never quite buckled under all that weight, it did have problems trying to give every character appropriate screen time. And with so many new characters coming in to join the Secret Warriors team--Joey, Yo-Yo, Carl Creel--it's only going to get harder. Bobbi and Hunter's relationship brought a lot to the show, which is why their abscence leaves sufficient breathing room for our new heroes.

You guys all asked for the Secret Warriors; now here they are. No, they didn't get their own show, and they're not going to--but it's still looking badass all the same.

1). Has the Potential To Be A Damn Good Story

Most Wanted has been repeatedly compared to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and I think seeing something like that in TV form can be truly great entertainment if handled right. A couple on the run fighting bad guys along the way, all the while arguing with each other? Maybe I just have different taste in stories than you guys, but that sounds like something that will truly make me smile. Add to that Oded Fehr being cast as the main antagonist who is a "well known" comic book character, whom some are betting is the Taskmaster. And y'all know it's only a matter of time until Bobbi and Hunter have a little fight of their own.

Honorable Mention

I'm a little jealous of DC fans, because they have so many offerings a week--Supergirl, Gotham, Arrow, The Flash. Me? I tend to sit in front of the TV once a week, and that's when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs. With Damage Control and Most Wanted supposed to be coming this fall, that means I'll get three nights a week to watch these shows, and that excites me very much. It's been said "quality over quantity," but if this show can match up to S.H.I.E.L.D., then GliderMan will be satisfied. The more Marvel Cinematic Universe, the better.

I trust you've read this article with an open mind, and I look forward to hearing what you think. Happy Easter, CBM.

Oded Fehr confirmed as an antagonist? I didn't read that anywhere else. Or do you want it to be.

Anyway, scepticism still exists, though it has certainly reduced. Hopefully it opens up new horizons to the MCU, instead of just being about these 2 couples

I'm excited to see more properties brought to life and I think they do have potential for crossovers in the future. I like them having their own identities. I think each show can bring different feeling and tone. Daredevil and Shield are 2 different shows but they're both good. Daredevil is top notch tv though but you get what I'm saying lol

I will watch the pilot and Hope it's good but I won't have my hopes up.

I hope it works cause if it doesn't than Mockingbird is done in the MCU.
