So right to the point. The second season of Agents of SHIELD began today and in my opinion it was an awesome start to the second season. The easter egg i was talking about appeared in the flash back to 1945 Austria scene, where you see Agent Peggy Carter and the Howling Commandos take down what is suspected to be the last hydra facility.  The SSR agents were all packing items away in crates and labeling them, such as the 'obelisk' which was labeled 'SSR item #084' the first '084'.  However there was one crate that Dum Dum Dugen was curious about, he opened it slightly before Agent Carter closed it, we did however get a peak.

What was inside the box you ask. Behold..

Look familiar?

Bingo! Its the dead Kree from season 1 episode 14 "T.A.H.I.T.I" that was dead in a chamber in some secret facility, who's blood was being pumped out through a machine and into some viles. That blood is what healed both Coulson and Skye from their injuries. So what exactly is going on here? Who is that Kree? How old is that Kree? when did it come to earth? Why did it come to earth? how did Hydra initially get their hands on it? Did Howard Stark know about it? So many questions. Do you have theories? Fire away below in the comments section.

No way man, HYDRA was holding onto a being of extrordinary power (and it's not a Kree)

When Hydra first mentioned that the Obelisk was a way to cheat death, I thought it could have been the container of the Time Stone. Seeing the Kree makes me wonder if they aren't setting up the introduction of Inhumans, and the Obelisk will produce the Terrigen Mists when properly harnessed.

Thats not the only easter egg. Did any of you notice when Hartley was holding the obilisk and everyone was around her thinking of a way to get it off that a pattern rose up and quickly went away that resembled the drawing that Coulson and Garrett were making? That thing could be a key piece to the Kree and the Skye/Coulson angle.

Nice catch, dude. I thought it was something else entirely.

Awesome. Me and @0megaDaGod were talking about that last night. Was the first thing that popped into my brain. Hopefully they deal with it on Agent Carter.

@Grendel1

YES! When Hartley was holding it, the camera showed Skye staring at the engravings all wide-eyed and shit.

Vials - not 'viles.' Whose - not 'who's.'. Lack of capital letters on the beginning of each sentence. Other than that, good article...

Look, it's obviously a Kree, the only reason to change the race at this point would be because of Chloe Bennett initially mentioning it was a Kree last season. All of the other possibilities mentioned by Sif wouldn't be anywhere near as interesting either unless it's an Atlantean because I really want Namor to be part of the 40's time period(I really, really wish he was part of the first Captain America movie).

both my wife and I noticed during the airing. It seemed like a pretty good close up. I didn't know some people didn't catch it. I freaked when I saw it!

@BatzFTWfan, my thoughts exactly! with all the other fans rushing Ms. Marvel's "Captain Marvel" MCU introduction, this seems like a fit for that idea. Captain Mar-Vell crash-landed or something and yadaYADAyada... either he ends up getting healed/revived and we have Captain Marvel, or Coulson's brain goes crazy and he thinks he is the Original Captain Mar-Vell/Marvel (while Skye ends up becoming Ms. Marvel! not that i'm rooting for that, not that i'm against it either tho.), OR leave Mar-Vell dead in the tube and just bring on a S.W.O.R.D. scientist (Carol Danvers) to come and research/transport the kree body when somehow... she's gifted with those special abilities once belonging to him and now we've skipped ahead to Ms. Danvers as Captain Marvel. (i know someone was happy with that last one, i'm not, NO SKIPSEES!) lol
