What is
Dubsmash you ask? Dubsmash is a mobile app that allows users to create short videos using the camera on a mobile device dubbed over with famous sounds and/or song clips. Actress Hayley Atwell who portrays Peggy Carter is a huge fan of the app and was posting Dubsmash clips of her and other famous celebrities leading up to
Comic-Con. Once Comic-Con began things started to warm up as a challenge was issued from Clark and Bennet. Atwell accepted their challenge and recruited fellow
Agent of Carter cast member
James D’Arcy to her cause. The battle waged throughout the event, and featured 7 clips ending in what looked like a victory for Clark and Bennet. As the AoS team left San Diego celebrating what they thought was triumphant win. The resourceful Atwell had one last trick up her sleeve. She and D’Arcy flew across the country to recruit Chris Evans Captain America himself and launch the decisive strike that snatched victory from team AoS.
That’s how we ended up here with the new clip issued by Team AoS. Gregg back in drag wearing the costume he thought had earned his team victory gives what appears to be a tearful admission of defeat, only to rip open his shirt revealing the words “It’s on!” written across his chest. Bennet holds up a poster challenging Atwell to a three round Dubsmash death match to be waged for charity with the winner determined by the fans.
Atwell’s has yet to respond, but I don’t foresee the reigning champion ducking this title defense. Stay tuned as the ongoing Dubsmash battle continues.
