It won't be facing the axe anytime soon, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could still in some ways be considered a major disappointment for Marvel and ABC, especially after the buzz surrounding the series premiere last year. According to Deadline, it had a 4.6 fast national and 4.7 Live+same day rating in adults 18-49 in 2013, but returned last night with 1.9 fast national (down 59%), a number which will likely go up only a tenth or two in the finals. Despite the fact that the series is heavily DVR'd, this is still a drop of 58% since its record breaking debut. It appears as if those well-received Captain America: The Winter Soldier tie-in episodes came too litle, too late! However, it's worth noting that these current numbers are roughly on par with where it ended last season. As long as it can maintain these and doesn't drop any further, there's no reason why it won't stick around for the forseeable future! Curious about how Gotham did in comparison? Find out here!
