The season two finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dropped some major hints about Agent Coulson and Skye/Daisy Johnson/Quake putting together a team of superpowered individuals which sounded an awful like the Secret Warriors. That's the direction many fans have been hoping to the ABC series would go in for some time now, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out later this year.

Gregg not only addresses that in the video below, but also how the ending of Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to impact Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., how season two teased Captain America: Civil War, the chances of Ward finding redemption, his thoughts on Spider-Man joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his desire to team up with future Netflix hero Iron Fist. Check it out below.

It's Secret Warriors for sure. The AoS instagram account teased it with a picture of Skye with the caption, "Can you keep a secret." Apparently, there'll be more to that within the next few days.

I like Gregg and his enthusiasm; he's just like us (fans).

Secret Warriors would be awesome to see in AOS. I'm hoping we get code names for these heroes.

It won't be Secret Warriors. It'll be the CATERPILLARS. Said so at the folder at the end of the episode.

Season 2 made AoS close to the heart. Almost every character were perfectly developed. Lets hope they continue the streak of giving us a great season, but they have me skeptical for unknown reason. Maybe that number 3 has been an unlucky number for some shows(Arrow, for example).

@GentlemanlyBatman: You are absolutely right. Especially after the stellar season they have given us.

Coulson revealing himself and Stark being the one of those behind Coulson's revival and hiding it right infront of the team could make a sensible plot.

Or Skye's secret team saving somebody significant when they are about to die. Or much better... the Secret warriors messing with an catastrophe, and making it a bigger disaster will spark Civil War.

AoS has provided many different routes for story progression.

And don't forget Daredevil. Hopefully a small cameo will be good(just a bit longer than Chris Evans' in Thor 2)

@WakandasSoul

They could still introduce many different characters, some original and some from the comics. Season 2 has given us Bobbi Morse, Hunter Lance and Mack and they do have a fair presence in entire season. Maybe season 3 gives us that.

Everything sounds good except no team up with iron fist. Leave those world's separate

I know they seem like they are just going to keep Coulson out of the movies at this point for the sake of people who haven't watched AOS, but I really wish they could just get on with reintroducing him as alive outside of AOS so he can be in things like Iron Fist and Spider-Man, both characters who wouldn't know about Coulson's death in the first place.

@Ramiel, SPOILERS FOR AGENTS OF SHIELD -- DO NOT READ IF YOU INTEND TO WATCH (and really you should)

Days after Coulson's death, he was revived though a series of surgeries and infusion of a serum created from the body of an alien, a Kree. His memories of the situation were altered to make him think that he had recovered on a beach in Tahiti, because the process has a number of very negative side effects.

END SPOILERS - for more info, go watch Agents of SHIELD. Don't be discouraged by the first half of season 1, I promise it gets better.

@DrDoom i know they're the same world but I was talking in terms of how in the mcu there's the gritty netflix side and the somewhat fanatistical espionage aos side. A team up would be cool if done right. If shield had an OP in NYC and needed assiatance

The whole world should have Jim Starlin Warlock comics by necessity.

AoS has been much darker in terms of the events that occured when compared to the MCU. As far the violence goes, Jiaying getting tipped by Whitehall was darker. And most of the fights ends with the charecters covered with blood on their face. Not as Dark as the Netflix series, but still dark and gritty(should I say witty too?)enough.

The characters aren't. They occasionally make jokes, which actually bring smile on our faces. THey are a bit campier

And this dynamic would make an interesting team up. Consider like Spidey and Daredevil teaming up. Daredevil is dark and realistic. Spidey is campier and funny guy. Their team up has been actually great.

Then, there is a rumor of Coulson bringing the Defenders together. If they do go that way(which I am on board) Coulson has to team up with any one of the Netflix characters.

I never finished Season 2. Except for the eye candy, I feel like this show has little to offer the MCU. Netflix on the other hand...

He's awesome. I love Clark Gregg interviews.

Considering the MCU has built itself on being all connected the smartest thing I think they could do is create a second separate show like the Secret Warriors that runs at the same time. Right now the AoS deals with effects of the movies which is awesome but they don't get to crossover like the movies and soon the Netflix shows will. But if you had two shows they could tackle problems from two different directions and have huge crossover events once or twice a year. So with AoS you could put Mockingbird in costume and refer to her as Mockingbird and make Deathlok a real series regular and call him Deathlok. And then have the Secret Warriors show where Quake lead a team of her, Stonewall, Phobia, Slingshot, etc people with powers but ones that can be done on the cheap with TV budgets and that have no chance of appearing in movies.

showing up at the end of iron fist, with all the other characters present, to form the defenders, would be fun ala fury.

plus a huge reveal to those who don't watch AoS..

I used to give this show a lot of shit and troll the hell out of it but it was really good this 2nd season. While Arrow has become the unbearable Olicity Dairies. I tried to will myself to finish this season of Arrow but only made it to episode 20 and have no desire to watch the rest. I can't believe I am saying that AOS is WAY better than Arrow now.
