Excuse me if i have grammar or spelling mistakes, english is not my main language.

Back in the end of 2012 i first heard of the shield TV show and i got excited to see it, especially being directed by Joss Whedon. So when i first hear that there is going to be a shield TV show of the MCU i first imagine Nick Fury and all of the shield scenarios that appeared in the Avengers like the helicarrier and the rest of the bases with all those ships and all. I actually was very convinced that the helicarrier was going be the main place or at least was going to appear from time to time.

Actually, i thought that all of the characters were going to be from the comics. But then the actors started to get cast as unknown chracters. First, i thought they were from the comics, but after googleing a little bit, i discovered they weren’t. But i still thought they were going to be badass and that Nick Fury was going to be the boss of the agents, not Coulson. And that Maria Hill was going to be a main character. I knew some characters were going to be hackers or something but i imagined them with a giant computer in the helicarrier foating in the skye.

I thought the storyline was going to be about Shield vs Hydra and AIM, and i actually was very convinced about that, because that’s how it is in the comics. And this is how i imagined the characters:

I expected the show to be about them fighting Arnim Zola, Modok, Baron Strucker, Aim, Hydra... in a very cool way with shootouts and all of that.

So that’s what i thought the show was going to be about. I even expected the last episode to show Captain America fight Baron Zemo and the Red Skull or something similar.

I assumed it was going to be an action TV show; totally different with a different tone. I thought the characters were not going to be like that and that there were going to be more plots, like the usual TV shows, and certanly more complex and less childish and simple. The kind of TV show lots of people can enjoy and everybody talks about. Kind of like Game of Thrones or the Walking Dead, that level of good and popular.

I actually imagined that the first episode was going to show shield giving a home to Captain America. What i basicly imagined is the equivalent of a SHIELD movie but in television, maybe even showing Black Widow, Hawkeye, Sharon Carter or falcon from time to time as special guests. Or maybe even Dum Dum Dogan or Gabe Jones.

But keeping the made up characters as the main ones, even Blake and Sitwell (even if Sitwell is not really that made-up) and those from above just as guests for some special episodes. But showing Nick Fury, Maria Hill and the helicarrier as main elements in the show. Baron Strucker and Aim as main villains, Baron Zemo appearing from time to time and Red Skull in the final episodes.

So that’s basicly it. Thank you for reading. I'm BaronZemo.

Heads up, it's spelt "Initially" but I know your heritage so no biggie, also, this probably goes in editorials

Great write up.
I wanted to see Fury and his pimps too but apparently Disney were worried about money (regardless of having an endless supply of it).
I wanted more AIM and Hydra as well, but Jeff Loeb has been hinting at things today.
Just give me Taskmaster already or a Punisher reference, shit, I'll take any reference other than the overused Avengers references

I for one didn't think the show would be anything like the comics. If you ever have seen any of Joss Whedons shows you would know what to expect. A group of people learning to work together to fight a common enemy. Thats exactly what we got. And he isn't even the show runner. It's not the best show in the world. But it has something. It definitley has gotten better. I would have loved to see more intruige and more spy work but it's doing a good job of making a show about random people at SHEILD. I hope a Agent carter show is in the works. An early look at SHEILD would be great with Dum Dum and Howard.

I thought that is what the show would be when it was announced, too. Would have been way better.

That's what's funny about this show. Tyey announced it, and Marvel made it clear it won't be a "hero of the week" show, or constantly having tons of easter eggs etc. I guess fans assumed they were lying, as they were still expecting all that even 10 episodes in.

The show is literally about these agents of SHIELD. It's weird, but they were up front about it.
