While Daredevil: Born Again is expected to be loosely connected to Netflix's Daredevil, it's become apparent Marvel Studios isn't going to be beholden to creative decisions made by the now-defunct Marvel Television.
We've seen at least one major character recast, while plenty of familiar faces are set to return. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law established that the MCU's Man Without Fear is quite a bit more powerful, and we're expecting to see a fresh take on the hero on Disney+.
Unfortunately, one reliable scooper claims that's going to mean saying goodbye to at least one iconic location: Nelson and Murdock (or Nelson, Murdock and Page as it was later known).
Elden Henson is expected to at least make a cameo appearance in this revival, though this rumour reveals that Matt's new law firm is now called Murdock & Associates. It appears Kirsten McDuffie will be his new law partner and, while it's a shame to see Foggy sidelined, the friendship is one that only has so much mileage.
Many of you will be understandably disappointed by this news but here's hoping Marvel Studios finds a good way to explain Foggy's absence from Hell's Kitchen.
The cast of Daredevil: Born Again includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, and Sandrine Holt as Vanessa Fisk. Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Nikki M. James, Michael Gaston, Arty Froushan, and Clark Johnson have all been cast in undisclosed roles.
Michael Cuesta has been tapped to helm the first episode of the series, while Clark Johnson, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd are among those also set to lend their directing talents to the Disney+ series.
A premiere date hasn't been revealed, but we're optimistic that Daredevil: Born Again will arrive on Disney+ next year despite the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
