DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Rumored To Include White Tiger's MCU Debut; SCREAM Star Jenna Ortega Eyed For The Role?

A new rumour about Daredevil: Born Again has started doing the rounds claiming that White Tiger will make her MCU debut in the Disney+ series, with Wednesday star Jenna Ortega possibly eyed for the role.

There's a tonne of excitement surrounding Daredevil: Born Again, no great surprise when the Man Without Fear has already made such a big impact in the MCU with just two small cameo roles. Both Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law offered an idea of what we can expect from the Disney+ series, and a new rumour teases a huge debut.

Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will square off with Vincent D'Onofrio Kingpin of Crime, while there are rumours Jon Bernthal will also reprise the role of The Punisher.

Recently, GFR shared a rumour suggesting that Scream and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega is being eyed to play Angela del Toro. a.k.a. White Tiger, in Daredevil: Born Again. Murphy's Multiverse has now added to that, saying they've also heard about plans for the character to appear in the show (Ortega's name was never mentioned to them, though).

If it's true that Ortega is going to play White Tiger, this wouldn't actually be her first time starring in an MCU project. She previously played the daughter of Miguel Ferrer's Vice President Rodriguez in 2013's Iron Man 3, though we'd say this is a case of an actor being cast in two separate roles rather than there being any sort of link between the two.

If Marvel Studios is looking to continue diversifying the MCU so that it better reflects our world, then Angela Del Toro should be a priority. The FBI agent found herself in Daredevil's world after being tasked with investigating the Man Without Fear, but was later presented with the opportunity to become a superhero in her own right.

Transformed into the heroic White Tiger thanks to a powerful amulet passed down by her uncle, Daredevil took Angela under his wing and taught her what it meant to be a vigilante.

She even ends up rescuing him, and is a great hero in her own right with the potential to take centre stage in a series of her own on Disney+. It feels like Marvel Studios is definitely expanding this street-level corner of the MCU, and introducing lesser-known characters like this one as part of the eighteen-episode Daredevil: Born Again makes perfect sense.

The series is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.

@marvel72 - But y'all were complaining about them race bending Namor instead of introducing Latin/Hispanic characters. But you also complain when they do. What???

@comicfan100 - ...considering this is an established mantle originally owned by someone...

This is kinda like wanting black representation so bringing in miles morales before Peter Parker instead of just doing black panther.
