Given the sheer number of Daredevil-related rumors doing the rounds, it might be easy to forget that the character's return has yet to be confirmed. In fact, Charlie Cox has flat-out denied that he's had so much as a single discussion with Marvel Studios about potentially reprising the role of Matt Murdock in the MCU.
And yet, the rumors persist. This latest report comes via Daniel Richtman, who claims that Cox's Man Without Fear is set to feature in the upcoming Disney+ Echo series - and not just for a cameo appearance. Apparently, the Kin star will actually have a supporting role in the Hawkeye spinoff, and is expected to show up in at least 6 episodes.
Echo is more closely tied to Daredevil than Clint Barton in the comics, so the Hell's Kitchen vigilante's involvement in her solo series would make sense. Plus, if Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) really is set to return for Hawkeye, we could see the stage set for an adaptation of David Mack and Joe Quesada's memorable '90s Daredevil comic run which saw Fisk send his adoptive daughter after the Man Without Fear... while she's romantically involved with his civilian alter-ego.
At this point, Daredevil has been rumored to appear in Echo, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. We're obviously hoping there's some truth to at least one these reports, but we won't know for sure until Marvel makes it official or we hear something more solid from the trades.
