Just finished... I liked the season. The characters were everything. I wish we got Fisk doing a little more ground work but Vincent is great as usual.

I wish we got a less sympathic version of bullseye but he was still great and the way they showed his precision was really legit.

Cox probably should change his name to Matt and I enjoyed foggy. He was really confident and sure of himself.

I didn't love it as much as everyone else. I felt we're right back in familiar territory like beginning of season 2*trying not to spoil * but all in all it was a really good season.

Netflix marvel undefeated even if it's being canceled.

Finished the season earlier today. Absolutely loved the season- the best out of all the Netflix MCU. Everything was basically perfect. Writing, characters, pacing.

That said.... I wonder how many days we have before they announce the cancellation.

Daredevil season 3 is the Dark Knight of comic book television. Such a brutal beautiful masterpiece. I need Marvel to be producing more content like Daredevil season 3 & Spider-Man PS4

That’s some top tier content & I need more of it Marvel

It really hit me not just why Daredevil keeps killing it but why 3 seasons in, its still delivering great content

BECAUSE IT WASNT DUMB ENOUGH TO KILL OFF FISK

This is sort of a marvel thing more than a DC thing. I say that because no offense, DC heroes have strong rogues galleries. Meanwhile Iron Man has an evil scientist with an iron suit or weaponized power in every film.

But you see how IM1 killed off Stane, Jessica Jones kills off Kilgrave, Luke Cage kills off Cottonmouth, Black Panther killed off Kilmonger

I know in Spider-Man 1 they killed off Green Goblin but the whole trilogy still felt the Goblin’s influence from Norman embracing it until Harry’s sacrifice. I do think the X-Men films over[frick]ing do it with Magneto in every [frick]ing film

I guess my point is even 3 seasons in & now 26 episodes total of Matt vs Fisk, you are still as interested as you were from the start. They’ve developed into one of the best rivalries in comic book media that we haven’t seen. Sure we saw Loki be good & we see Magneto flip flop around but with Matt & Fisk, here are 2 guys who hate each other & want nothing more than to kill each other & destroy each other’s lives & that feeling isn’t ending anytime soon

@LEVITIKUZ - "Daredevil season 3 is the Dark Knight of comic book television."

I've seen this declaration been floating around the internet today. DD S3 is masterfully relevant and as timely as TDK was to the world 10 years ago.

I mean you could compare it to Batman & Joker & there are a lot of similarities in term of Matt refusing to kill like Batman but it goes even further with Matt & Fisk constantly attacking those closest to each other with Fisk after Foggy & Karen & Matt after Vanessa

You don’t really see that in the films because well, the only MCU character who has a no kill rule is Spider-Man. Not having a no kill rule doesn’t make a character more interesting but it does bring out more tension in Matt’s desire to know he could end it all & kill Fisk but refusal to do so does so then he needs to think of another way to bring Fisk down

Either way, Feige needs to watch this show & learn from it because there isn’t a hero/villain dynamic in the MCU that comes close to Matt & Fisk

@LEVITIKUZ - man I'm kinda tired of magneto his portrayals have been great but I won't be surprised if we don't see him at all in the mcu xmen trilogy

@LEVITIKUZ - big facts bruh, everything you said is spot on, that hero/villian rival dynamic is whats missing from the MCU and a lot of other superhero media. These characters need really good foils that we can get invested in.

I'm on the last 2 episodes now. I dont like any of the other Marvel Netflix shows, but Daredevil continues to be hands down the best Comic Book show ever made.
ArthurFleck
ArthurFleck - 10/20/2018, 6:58 PM
@ArthurFleck - just finished all of season 3, it was fantastic. They didn't stick the landing as well as I'd hoped, some elements felt forced and cheesey, almost Arrow levels of overly convenient plot threads, and my biggest complaint was that episode dedicated to Karen's past was as bad as that episode in Stranger Things season 2 everyone hates.... but aside from those issues Daredevil is still the best CBM by a decent stretch. I happened to love DD season 2 with Frank being the co-lead, and I felt this season had as many down sides as season 2 so I still say season 1 is the best and 2 and 3 are tied, both being great TV.

Let's hope even despite that Arrow levels of cheesey teaser at the end with Bullseye, that Daredevil gets a season 4 and a new suit.
Snowbirdd
Snowbirdd - 10/20/2018, 9:53 PM
@ArthurFleck - The Karen episode (and the stranger things equivalent) weren't a bad thing for me. it let the audience breath while also understanding an underscored aspect of the character. idk I enjoyed it.(In fact, Daredevil handled the episode better than Stranger Things did, as the contents of the story were hinted at since season 1 And it didn't take up the ENTIRE episode.)

I do agree with you on one of the almost Arrow level things that happened lmao I think we're both thinking of the part with the video that Ray made. it seems like they really just wanted to wrap it all up for the end. But hey, the pacing issues that most of the shows had is nowhere to be seen here so that's good.
ArthurFleck
ArthurFleck - 10/21/2018, 7:12 AM
@Snowbirdd - that was definitely one of them. But also I should mention Arrow is still a solid show in my opinion so it's not to heavy a dig, but just that those certain elements I expected better from Daredevil. Also after how brilliant in planning Kingpin was all season, planning things years in advance, the "blackmail" Daredevil used against him to get him to surrender was laughably bad and paper thin. On the spot I was thinking of several work arounds Kingpin could has done, but he just gave up. Was so anti climactic. It just felt like they had to abandon so many character traits established though out the season just to wrap up the season in a nice little bow. There were a handful of other things through out the season that felt too close to Arrow territory for my liking but as a whole the season was bad ass. I don't think its necessarily the masterpiece everyone around here keeps saying, but i will definitely agree it's the best Comic book show ever made. I feel like especially in the comic cool community for whatever reason, whenever something is really good fans tend to over exaggerate how good it was. It happened with Wonder Woman, happened with Black Panther, even happened with Deadpool, First Class and even Avengers... in the fever of how great it was people refuse to examine any negative aspects that were there because they want to keep riding that high of nerdgams, and it's not till months later they are able to look at it from a fair place of analysis. I got torn apart on here for voicing some of my issues with Wonder Woman, but for like a month after its release people flew into a rage I wasnt praising it as perfection, but now everyone is able to pretty commonly agree it had some issues but was over all a great flick.

My point being, Daredevil s3 had some issues and wasn't perfection bu any stretch, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fantastic and still the best comic book show so far.
