After a first season, which was well-received and critically-acclaimed, fans have been hoping for a second season for Daredevil, but many doubts have arisen due to Marvel/ABC's already packed Netflix line-up of other street-level heroes, which will lead to The Defenders. Those doubts may be put to rest after the "Sony Hack" emails continue to leak.
A recovered conversation between Sony exec, Amy Pascal, and Drew Goddard, which takes place before it was publicly announced that Goddard would be leaving the show in order to focus on other work, most particularly Sinister Six. This soon led to legal troubles between the former showrunner and Marvel, which can be seen here. However, it was mentioned that Goddard not only worked on the first season, but he also penned the outline to the second season. It was also mentioned that payments for the second season had already been planned and made.
