ECHO Set Photos Reveal A First Look At Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin...And He's Wearing A Familiar Suit!

New photos from the set of Marvel Studios and Disney+'s Echo have been revealed, and they offer a first look at Vincent D'Onfrio's return as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin. Why does that suit look so familiar?

Translating a character like The Kingpin from page to screen was never going to be easy, especially if the plan was to make him look exactly like his comic book counterpart. That would require either CG or a lot of padding, and while Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk was no giant in Daredevil, his take on the villain was still universally praised by fans.

Proving himself more than a match for the Man Without Fear, that Kingpin was a hit, and he made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Hawkeye last December.

There, we learned that he was Maya Lopez's "uncle," though the revelation that he had set up her father to die at the hands of Ronin quickly ended their relationship. The last time we saw Fisk, he had taken a beating from Kate Bishop (courtesy of some explosive arrows) before being gunned down by Echo in an alleyway.

The expectation is obviously that he survived, especially as D'Onofrio has been confirmed for 2024's Daredevil: Born Again. Before that show hits Disney+, though, we'll see him in Echo next year. Now, some set photos have offered a glimpse of Fisk's return, with the villain wearing the same white suit he donned in Daredevil (and the comic books).

Recently, The Cosmic Circus' Lizzie Hill took to Twitter to say, "[The] Kingpin has been spotted on the set of Echo in a scene involving a little girl and ice cream (and a fight!). Seems as if we have some flashbacks being filmed for the series." This sequence is clearly what she was referring to.

Hopefully, The Kingpin shows up in more than just flashbacks as we're keen to learn how he survived being shot. Marvel Studios has increased his stature, though, while there's speculation online that the villain might have taken some Super Soldier Serum once upon a time after we saw him literally tear a car door from its hinges.

Is he really this big? Or did they add something under his suit to give him this massive size? I don't remember Vincent looking those proportions on daredevil on Netflix.
