As with any Marvel project,
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is bound to be full of big surprises, but will that include the return of a familiar, and beloved one-eyed face?
Extra recently caught up with
Altered Carbon star Anthony Mackie to discuss the Netflix series, and asked him about the possibility of the fomer S.H.I.E.L.D. Director returning from outer space to give the hunky new Captain America his blessing.
"I hope so," the actor responded, before joking:
"I heard Falcon becomes Sam Jackson, that's what I heard, so that's what I'm hoping for."
When it comes to the likelihood of the character actually showing up in the Disney+ series, he added:
"We ain't finished shooting yet, so I hope he just show up one day and bless us with his presence."
Fury was at Tony Stark's funeral at the end of
Avengers: Endgame, and later appeared in
Spider-Man: Far From Home. That movie revealed that the real Fury was taking a vacation in the cosmos with Captain Marvel while the mischievous Skrull Talos took his place back on Earth.
We would love to see Fury meet up with Sam and Bucky for a beer or two, but there might just not be room for that to happen in
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with so much else going on!
