We know Sam Wilson won't start out as the new Captain America in the upcoming Falcon and The Winter Soldier series, but he is expected to take up the mantle at some point over the course of the first season, and we may now have some idea of how he'll look in his redesigned costume.
A Reddit user has shared a photo of what's believed to be a prototype for a Sam Wilson/Captain America toy. It's possible this is a custom job, but it was spotted in an official collector's group so there's a chance it is the real deal.
Even if it is legit, it's obviously not very detailed, but it does still give us a pretty good idea of the color scheme and overall design of the outfit.
Take a look at the pic below and let us know what you make of it.
Not sure if this has been revealed yet but I spotted it in a prototype collector group... Appears to be a prototype for a Sam Wilson Captain America! from r/Disney_Toybox
Production on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier recently resumed in the Czech Republic after being hit with numerous delays thanks to the ongoing pandemic, but we're still no closer to finding out when it's expected to premiere on Disney+. It's been confirmed that it was originally scheduled for August, but it's now looking likely that the studio has decided to push the show into 2021.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has Kari Skogland on directing duties, and will also see Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl reprise their respective roles as Bucky Barnes, Sharon Carter and Baron Zemo.
