So far, it appears as if all the Marvel Studios TV shows on Disney+ will only run for one season each. There have been rumblings that Loki will get a second batch of episodes, but what about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Fans are keen to see more of those characters together, so a follow up titled Captain America and Bucky, for example, would definitely be appreciated.
During a recent interview with Collider, Sebastian Stan was asked if he's heard anything about a second season and admitted that it's not something he's discussed with Marvel Studios...yet.
"No, we have not, and I'll tell you that honestly, we have not," The Falcon and The Winter Soldier star confirmed. "As per usual, I don't quite know what the next step is. We never really do. Maybe some people do, maybe [Robert] Downey [Jr.] used to know, I don't know."
However, should the call come in from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Stan made it very clear that he'd be quick to accept and return as Bucky Barnes.
"I got on the phone with him just to catch up, and I was saying to him, 'Dude, you could f*cking tell me to go swim under[water], I'll do anything.' It doesn't matter. Or if this is it, my heart is just as big."
There have to be plans in place for these characters, and while we're sure the new Captain America will make his presence felt on the big screen, a season two does seem like a logical next step.
